1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the Sinbo SCM-2984 Digital Turkish Coffee Machine. Keep this manual for future reference.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

• Carefully remove all packaging materials from the coffee machine.
• Check for any damage during transit. If damaged, do not use and contact customer support.
• Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.

3.2 Initial Cleaning

• Before first use, wash the coffee pot with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
• Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
• Perform a trial run by filling the pot with water (without coffee) and running a brewing cycle. Discard this water.

3.3 Placement

• Place the coffee machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
• Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
• Keep away from water sources and direct heat.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to prepare delicious Turkish coffee with your Sinbo SCM-2984.

1. Add Water: Fill the coffee pot with cold water. The machine has a capacity for up to 4 cups of Turkish coffee. Do not exceed the maximum fill line inside the pot.
2. Add Coffee: For each cup of water, add approximately one full teaspoon of finely ground Turkish coffee. You may adjust this amount to your taste.
3. Add Sugar (Optional): If desired, add sugar to taste at this stage.
4. Stir: Gently stir the mixture in the pot until the coffee and sugar are well combined with the water. Do not stir once brewing begins.
5. Place Pot: Place the coffee pot securely onto the main unit's heating base.
6. Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The machine will typically indicate it is ready.
7. Start Brewing: Press the start button on the control panel. The machine will begin the brewing process.
8. Automatic Shut-off: The machine will automatically turn off once the coffee is brewed and has reached the desired foam level. An audible signal may indicate completion.
9. Serve: Carefully remove the coffee pot from the base. Pour the freshly brewed Turkish coffee into small cups immediately.

Important: Do not re-brew coffee grounds. Always use fresh water and coffee for each brewing cycle.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee machine.

• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Coffee Pot: Wash the coffee pot with warm, soapy water after each use. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the surface.
• Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water or other liquids.
• Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits may build up. To descale, fill the pot with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution. Run a brewing cycle without coffee. After the cycle, discard the solution, rinse the pot thoroughly, and run two cycles with clean water to remove any residual taste. Descale every 1-3 months depending on water hardness and usage.
• Storage: When not in use for an extended period, ensure the machine is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place.
