2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your OLIXIS Home Office Desk Chair. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage.

Step 1: Attach Casters to the Base

1. Insert the five casters (H) into the holes at the end of each leg of the chair base (G). Push firmly until they click into place.

Step 2: Install Gas Lift

2. Place the gas lift (F) into the center hole of the assembled base (G).

Step 3: Attach Armrests to Seat Cushion

3. Align the armrests (O) with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion (B). Ensure the armrests are oriented correctly (left and right).
4. Secure the armrests using the provided screws and Allen wrench. Do not overtighten.

Step 4: Attach Footrest to Seat Cushion

4. Attach the footrest support bars (P) to the underside of the seat cushion (B) using the provided screws.
5. Slide the footrest (C) onto the support bars.

Step 5: Install Mechanism to Seat Cushion

5. Align the mechanism (D) with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion (B). Ensure the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat.
6. Secure the mechanism using the provided screws and Allen wrench.

Step 6: Attach Backrest to Seat Cushion

6. Attach the backrest support bracket (E) to the backrest (A) using the provided screws.
7. Align the backrest support bracket (E) with the corresponding holes on the mechanism (D) and secure with screws.

Step 7: Connect Seat Assembly to Gas Lift

7. Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift (F), ensuring the gas lift cylinder is properly inserted into the mechanism.

Step 8: Attach Lumbar Pillow

8. Attach the detachable lumbar pillow (I) to the backrest using its integrated straps. Adjust to your preferred height.

5. Operating Instructions

Your OLIXIS Home Office Desk Chair offers multiple adjustment features for personalized comfort.

5.1. Height Adjustment

• To raise the seat height: While seated, pull the right lever (under the seat) upwards and lift your body slightly. Release the lever at the desired height.
• To lower the seat height: While seated, pull the right lever upwards and apply pressure to the seat. Release the lever at the desired height.

5.2. Reclining Function

• To recline the backrest: Pull the left lever (under the seat) outwards to unlock the recline mechanism. Lean back to your desired angle (up to 135°). Push the lever inwards to lock the backrest in position.
• To adjust rocking tension: Rotate the round knob under the seat to increase or decrease the tension for rocking.

5.3. Footrest Operation

• To extend the footrest: Pull the footrest (C) outwards from under the seat.
• To retract the footrest: Push the footrest (C) back under the seat until it is fully stored.

5.4. Lumbar Pillow Adjustment

• The lumbar pillow (I) is detachable and can be adjusted vertically along the backrest using its straps to provide support where needed.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your chair.

• Cleaning: The PU leather upholstery and detachable pillow can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and wipe dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Hardware: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten as needed to maintain stability and safety.
• Casters: Keep the casters free of hair and debris to ensure smooth movement.
• General Care: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading and material degradation.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your chair, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Chair is wobbly: Ensure all assembly screws are securely tightened. Check that the gas lift is properly seated in the base and mechanism.
• Height adjustment not working: Verify that the gas lift lever is functioning correctly and not obstructed. Ensure the gas lift is fully inserted into the mechanism and base.
• Casters not rolling smoothly: Check casters for any trapped debris, hair, or dust. Clean as necessary. Ensure casters are fully inserted into the base.
• Recline mechanism stuck: Ensure the recline lock lever is fully disengaged. Check for any obstructions under the seat mechanism.
