4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation and Charging

• Charging: Connect the charger to a power outlet. Insert the battery into the charger. The indicator light will show charging status. Charge fully before first use.
• Installation: Align the battery pack with the battery port on the saw handle. Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.
• Removal: Press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

4.2 Blade Installation

Always ensure the battery is removed before installing or changing blades.

1. Press and hold the spindle lock button.
2. Use the hex key to loosen the blade retaining screw.
3. Remove the outer flange and old blade.
4. Place the new blade onto the spindle, ensuring the teeth are pointing in the direction of rotation indicated by the arrow on the saw.
5. Replace the outer flange and tighten the blade retaining screw firmly with the hex key while holding the spindle lock.

4.3 Adjusting Cutting Depth and Bevel Angle

The saw allows for adjustments to both cutting depth and bevel angle to suit various cutting requirements.

• Cutting Depth: Loosen the depth adjustment lever. Raise or lower the saw base to achieve the desired cutting depth. Tighten the lever securely.
• Bevel Angle: Loosen the bevel adjustment lever. Tilt the saw base to the desired angle (0-45°). Tighten the lever securely.

4.4 Installing the Rip Fence (Parallel Guide)

The rip fence assists in making straight cuts parallel to the edge of the workpiece.

1. Slide the rip fence into the slots on the front of the saw base.
2. Adjust the fence to the desired width from the blade.
3. Tighten the locking screw to secure the rip fence in position.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Operation

• Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped and stable.
• Hold the saw firmly with both hands.
• Align the blade with your cutting line.
• Press the safety lock button, then squeeze the trigger to start the saw. Allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
• Guide the saw smoothly through the material, maintaining a consistent speed. Do not force the saw.
• Release the trigger to stop the saw. Wait for the blade to stop completely before setting the tool down.

5.2 Material-Specific Cutting

Select the appropriate blade for the material you are cutting:

• Wood: Use the TCT (Tungsten Carbide Tipped) blade. Adjust depth to cut slightly deeper than the material thickness.
• Soft Metal (e.g., Aluminum): Use the HSS (High-Speed Steel) blade. Maximum cutting thickness for aluminum is 13/16". Apply light pressure and use a slower feed rate.
• Ceramic Tile: Use the Diamond blade. Maximum cutting thickness for tile is 3/8". Use a steady, controlled motion.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

• Always remove the battery pack before cleaning.
