5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Probe

The borescope probe is IP67 waterproof, making it resistant to water, dust, and oil. After use, especially in dirty or oily environments, gently wipe the probe with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure the lens is clean for optimal image clarity.

5.2 Overheat Protection

The device includes a smart heat protection system that automatically shuts down the unit if the probe temperature exceeds 70 °C (158 °F) to prevent damage. Allow the device to cool down before resuming operation in high-temperature environments.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the battery is fully charged. If the device does not turn on, try connecting it to a power source.
  • Poor Image Quality: Check if the camera lens is clean. Adjust the LED light intensity to prevent overexposure or underexposure. Ensure the probe is within the optimal focal range.
  • Probe Overheating: If the device shuts down due to overheating, allow it to cool down for several minutes before resuming operation. Avoid prolonged use in extremely hot environments.
  • Unable to Capture Media: Verify that the 32GB MicroSD card is correctly inserted and has sufficient free space.
  • Device Unresponsive: Locate the reset button (if available, often a small pinhole) and use a thin object to press it to restart the device.
