6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the safety and performance of your e-bike.

  • Cleaning: Clean your bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure water jets directly on electrical components.
  • Lubrication: Keep the chain, gears, and other moving parts lubricated with appropriate bicycle lubricant.
  • Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure before each ride and inflate to the recommended PSI (usually found on the tire sidewall).
  • Brakes: Regularly check brake pads for wear and replace them when necessary. Ensure brake levers are responsive.
  • Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. If storing for an extended period, charge it to about 50-70% and recharge every 2-3 months.
  • Professional Service: For complex repairs or adjustments, it is recommended to consult a professional bicycle mechanic.
