Note: The camera has a built-in 300 mAh lithium battery, providing approximately 1 hour of battery life on a full charge.

4.2 Inserting a Micro SD Card

To enable local video recording, insert a Micro SD card (TF card) into the designated slot. The camera supports cards up to 128GB. Ensure the card is inserted correctly with the gold contacts facing the camera's circuit board. The camera will automatically format the card if it's new or unrecognized.

Note: A Micro SD card is required for recording when Wi-Fi is not connected or for continuous recording.

4.3 App Download and Installation

To use the camera's Wi-Fi features and remote viewing, download the "Ftycampro" application on your smartphone. Search for "Ftycampro" in the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices) and install it.

Note: Ensure your smartphone meets the minimum system requirements for the app.

4.4 Connecting to Wi-Fi and App Pairing

  1. Power On: Press and hold the Switch Button for a few seconds to turn on the camera. The indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Reset (if needed): If the camera does not connect or you are setting it up for the first time, press and hold the Mode Button for 5-10 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly, then release. This resets the camera to factory settings.
  3. Connect to Camera's Wi-Fi Hotspot: On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings. Look for a Wi-Fi network named "DGM..." or similar (this is the camera's direct hotspot). Connect to this network. No password is usually required.
  4. Open Ftycampro App: Launch the Ftycampro app. The camera should be automatically detected or you may need to add it manually by scanning a QR code (if available) or selecting "Add Device".
  5. Connect to Home Wi-Fi: Within the app, navigate to the camera settings. Select "Wi-Fi Settings" or "Network Settings". Choose your home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network from the list and enter its password. Confirm the connection. The camera's indicator light should change to indicate a successful connection to your home Wi-Fi.
  6. Remote Access: Once connected to your home Wi-Fi, you can access the camera remotely via the Ftycampro app from anywhere with an internet connection.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

  • Software Updates: Check the Ftycampro app periodically for any available firmware updates for the camera. Keeping the firmware updated ensures optimal performance and security.
  • Environmental Conditions: The camera is designed for indoor use. While it can be used in sheltered outdoor areas, it is not water-resistant. Avoid exposing it to rain, extreme temperatures, or high humidity.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your camera, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  1. Camera does not power on:
    • Ensure the camera is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and wait for the charging indicator.
    • Press and hold the Switch Button for a few seconds to ensure it's properly activated.
  2. Cannot connect to Wi-Fi / Frequent disconnections:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
    • Check your Wi-Fi password for accuracy.
    • Move the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router to improve signal strength.
    • Reset the camera by pressing and holding the Mode Button for 5-10 seconds, then attempt the Wi-Fi connection process again.
    • Ensure your router's firewall settings are not blocking the camera.
  3. Poor video quality:
    • Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from dust or smudges.
    • Check your internet connection speed. A slow connection can affect streaming quality.
    • Ensure there is adequate lighting in the environment, especially if night vision is not active.
  4. Ftycampro app issues (slow, bugs):
    • Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
    • Clear the app's cache or reinstall the app.
    • Restart your smartphone.
    • Check if your phone's operating system is compatible with the app.
  5. Camera not recording to Micro SD card:
    • Ensure a Micro SD card (TF card) is properly inserted into the slot.
    • Check if the Micro SD card is formatted correctly (the camera should do this automatically).
    • Verify that the Micro SD card is not full. The camera typically overwrites old footage, but a faulty card might prevent this.
    • Try using a different Micro SD card to rule out card malfunction.
  6. Motion detection not working or sending too many alerts:
    • Adjust motion detection sensitivity settings in the Ftycampro app.
    • Ensure motion detection is enabled in the app.
    • Avoid placing the camera in areas with constant movement (e.g., near a fan, tree branches swaying) if you want to reduce false alarms.
  7. Concerns about paid subscription:

The product description indicates that the camera can record to a memory card without Wi-Fi. While some cloud storage features in surveillance apps may require subscriptions, basic local recording and live viewing (when connected to the camera's hotspot or local Wi-Fi) should function without additional fees. Please refer to the Ftycampro app's specific terms of service for any optional cloud services.
