5. Key Features

5.1 2K FHD Video Recording

5.3 Loop Recording

When the memory card is full, the loop recording feature automatically overwrites the oldest footage with new content. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention. The dash cam supports micro SD cards up to 256GB.

5.4 Emergency Accident Locks (G-Sensor)

The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden collisions or impacts. Upon detection, it automatically saves and locks the current footage to an "SOS" file, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This protects critical video evidence.

5.5 24H Parking Mode

With the optional Buck Line connected, the dash cam can monitor your vehicle 24/7. If an impact is detected while parked, the dash cam will automatically power on and record, providing video evidence of any scratches or incidents. This feature works in conjunction with the G-Sensor.

5.6 Built-in Supercapacitor

The CHORTAU V-40 uses a supercapacitor instead of a traditional battery. This provides enhanced durability and reliability, especially in extreme temperatures, preventing overheating, explosions, or melting, and ensuring a longer lifespan.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and screen. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • SD Card Formatting: It is recommended to format the micro SD card regularly (e.g., once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can usually be done through the dash cam's menu settings or via the Viidure app.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the CHORTAU official website or the Viidure app periodically for any available firmware updates to improve performance and add new features.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods when not in use. The supercapacitor is designed for resilience, but proper care extends product life.
