3. What's in the Box

Upon unpacking, ensure all components are present:

  • 1 × Milex Zenzi Washing Machine (MWM100)
  • 1 × Water Inlet Hose
  • 1 × Drain Hose
  • 1 × Spin Basket (pre-installed or separate)
  • 1 × Instruction Manual (this document)

4. Installation and Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the washing machine from its packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit. Keep packaging materials for potential future transport or returns.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the machine on a firm, level surface to minimize vibration and ensure stable operation.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine. Do not block air vents.
  • Avoid direct sunlight or placement near heat sources.
  • The machine is suitable for various compact living spaces, including apartments, small households, travelling homes, and student housing.

4.3 Water Connection

  • Water Inlet: Connect the water inlet hose to a suitable water tap. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent leaks. Place the other end into the washing machine's water inlet opening.
  • Drain Hose: Position the drain hose to direct wastewater into a sink, bucket, or floor drain. Ensure the hose is not kinked or blocked. The drain hose should be positioned lower than the machine's base for proper gravity drainage.

4.4 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded 220-240V, 50/60Hz electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is easily accessible.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel Overview

  • Wash Timer Knob: Used to set the desired washing time.
  • Function Selector Knob: Used to select between wash, rinse, or spin functions.

5.2 Washing Procedure

  1. Load Laundry: Open the lid and place clothes into the washing tub. Do not exceed the 4.6kg wash capacity.
  2. Add Water: Fill the tub with water to the appropriate level for your load.
  3. Add Detergent: Add the recommended amount of laundry detergent.
  4. Set Wash Time: Turn the Wash Timer knob to your desired washing duration.
  5. Select Function: Turn the Function Selector knob to 'Wash'.
  6. Start Washing: The machine will begin the wash cycle.
  7. Drain Water: Once the wash cycle is complete, turn the Function Selector knob to 'Drain' to empty the water.
  8. Rinse (Optional): Refill the tub with clean water and select 'Rinse' on the Function Selector knob for a rinse cycle. Drain water after rinsing.

5.3 Spin Drying Procedure

  1. Transfer Laundry: After washing and rinsing, transfer the wet clothes into the stainless steel spin basket. Do not exceed the 2kg spin capacity. Distribute items evenly to prevent imbalance.
  2. Secure Lid: Close the inner and outer lids securely.
  3. Set Spin Time: Turn the Wash Timer knob to the desired spin duration (usually a few minutes).
  4. Select Function: Turn the Function Selector knob to 'Spin'.
  5. Start Spinning: The machine will begin the spin cycle.
  6. Remove Laundry: Once the spin cycle is complete, wait for the basket to stop completely before opening the lid and removing the spun laundry.

5.4 Washing Shoes

The versatile stainless steel basket can also be used for washing shoes. Ensure shoes are free of large debris before placing them in the basket. Use a gentle wash cycle and appropriate detergent. Do not overload the basket.

6. Care and Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.

6.2 Cleaning the Interior

Periodically clean the inside of the washing tub and spin basket to prevent detergent residue buildup. You can run a short cycle with just water and a small amount of vinegar to help remove odors and residue.

6.3 Draining Residual Water

After each use, ensure all water is drained from the machine. If storing for an extended period, ensure the machine is completely dry to prevent mold or mildew.

6.4 Storage

When not in use, store the machine in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting
