1. Introduction

The Dreame Nova IPL Hair Removal Device is designed for effective at-home hair reduction. Utilizing advanced Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology, this device features a dual-lamp system, Sapphire ICE Cooling for comfort, and Adaptizone AI Detection for precise treatment. It aims to provide a convenient and efficient solution for long-term hair reduction on various body areas.

This manual provides essential information on how to safely and effectively use your Dreame Nova device, including setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

2. Safety Information

For external use only. Please read all safety warnings and instructions before using the device to prevent injury or damage. Keep this manual for future reference.

Do not use on irritated, sunburned, or broken skin.
Avoid direct eye exposure to the IPL light. Always wear the provided protective goggles during use.

4. Setup

Prepare Your Skin: Before treatment, ensure the target area is clean, dry, and free of any lotions, gels, or deodorants. Shave the area to remove surface hair. Do not wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams, as these remove the hair follicle which is necessary for IPL treatment.
Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the device and then into a power outlet. The device will enter standby mode.
Wear Goggles: Always wear the provided protective goggles to shield your eyes from the intense light flashes.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On and Mode Selection

Power On: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn on the device.
Select Treatment Mode: The Dreame Nova offers three modes: Face, Body, and VIO (Bikini Area). Use the mode selection button to cycle through these options. Each mode is optimized for specific body areas.
Adjust Intensity Level: The device has multiple intensity levels. Start with the lowest level and gradually increase it as your skin tolerates it. The Adaptizone AI Detection system will also help calibrate the intensity based on your skin tone.

5.2 Treatment Application

Place Device: Press the treatment window firmly against your skin, ensuring full contact. The device will detect skin contact and prepare for a flash.
Flash: Press the flash button. The device will emit a flash of light.
Glide Mode (0.2s Auto-Flash): For larger areas, you can use the ultra-fast 0.2-second auto-flash mode. Hold the flash button down and glide the device slowly and continuously over the skin. The device will flash automatically.
Sapphire ICE Cooling: The integrated Sapphire ICE Cooling system will maintain a low temperature at the point of contact (around 65°F), reducing discomfort and irritation during treatment.

5.3 Treatment Schedule

For optimal results, follow a consistent treatment schedule. Initial results may be visible in as little as 2 weeks, with significant reduction after 28 days of consistent use.

6. Skin and Hair Suitability

The Dreame Nova IPL device is effective on a range of skin tones and hair colors. However, it is not suitable for all combinations. Please refer to the chart below to determine if this device is appropriate for your skin tone and hair color.

7. Maintenance

Cleaning: After each use, ensure the device is unplugged. Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the treatment window and the device body. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
Storage: Store the device in its original storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Lamp Life: The device has a long-lasting lamp designed for numerous flashes. No replacement lamps are needed.

8. Troubleshooting

Device not turning on: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and the power outlet.
No flash: Check if the treatment window is in full contact with the skin. The device has a skin contact sensor for safety. Ensure the intensity level is set correctly.
Discomfort during use: Reduce the intensity level. Ensure the Sapphire ICE Cooling feature is active. If discomfort persists, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
Uneven results: Ensure consistent coverage of the treatment area. Overlapping flashes slightly can help achieve more uniform results.
