5. Setup

5.1 Attaching the Auxiliary Handle

5.2 Installing/Changing the Grinding Disc

1. Ensure the tool is unplugged from the power source.
2. Press and hold the spindle lock button located on the gear head. This prevents the spindle from rotating.
3. Using the provided spanner/wrench, loosen the outer flange nut by turning it counter-clockwise. Remove the outer flange nut and the inner flange.
4. Place the desired 125mm grinding or cutting disc onto the spindle, ensuring it sits correctly on the inner flange. The disc should fit snugly.
5. Replace the outer flange nut and tighten it securely with the spanner/wrench while holding the spindle lock button. Do not overtighten.

5.3 Adjusting the Disc Guard

1. Loosen the screw or lever that secures the disc guard.
2. Rotate the guard to a position that offers maximum protection for your hand and body from sparks and debris, considering your working angle.
3. Tighten the screw or lever firmly to secure the guard in place.

6. Operating Instructions

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection, hearing protection, and gloves.

6.1 Connecting to Power

Connect the angle grinder's power cord to a suitable 220-240V ~ 50/60Hz electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in.

6.2 Turning On/Off

• To Turn ON: Push the safety switch forward and then press it down. The switch will lock into the ON position.
• To Turn OFF: Press the rear part of the safety switch. The switch will return to the OFF position.

6.3 Grinding Techniques

1. Secure your workpiece firmly to prevent movement during operation.
2. Hold the angle grinder firmly with both hands, one on the main handle and one on the auxiliary handle.
3. Turn on the tool and allow the disc to reach full operating speed (12000 rpm) before contacting the workpiece.
4. Apply the disc to the workpiece at an angle of approximately 15-30 degrees for grinding. Use light, even pressure and move the tool smoothly across the surface.
5. For cutting, apply the disc at a 90-degree angle to the workpiece, ensuring the disc is aligned with the cut line. Do not apply excessive side pressure, as this can cause the disc to bind or break.
6. Avoid overloading the tool. If the motor slows down significantly, reduce pressure.
7. After completing the task, lift the tool from the workpiece and turn it off. Wait for the disc to stop completely before setting the tool down.
