Important Safety Information
Read all instructions carefully before assembly and installation. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or death.
- Weight Capacity: This step system is designed to support a maximum weight of 350 pounds. Do not exceed this limit.
- Anti-Slip Treads: The steps feature textured, anti-slip treads to reduce the risk of slips and falls. Always use caution when entering or exiting the pool.
- Entrapment Prevention: Closed side panels are designed to prevent entrapment behind the steps and provide additional stability.
- Weighting Requirement: To prevent the steps from floating, it is mandatory to add approximately 50 pounds of sand (not included) into the steps or use Aqua Select step weights attached to the back.
- Pool Compatibility: These steps are designed for above-ground pools and can be mounted to decks 48 to 54 inches high. They are not compatible with Intex and soft-sided pools.
- Handrail Use: The handrail is reinforced with a metal pole for additional security. Use handrails for support when ascending or descending.

Assembly Instructions
The Aqua Select In-Pool Steps feature a snap-together design for straightforward assembly.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clean, flat surface.
- Assemble Step Sections: Connect the individual step sections by aligning the designated slots and snapping them firmly into place. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Attach Side Panels: Secure the closed side panels to the assembled step sections. These panels contribute to the structural integrity and safety of the unit.
- Install Handrails: Insert the reinforced handrails into their designated posts on the step structure. Ensure they are fully seated and stable.
- Prepare for Weighting: Before placing the steps in the pool, funnel approximately 50 pounds of sand (not included) into the designated compartments within the steps. This is crucial for preventing the steps from floating. Alternatively, prepare Aqua Select step weights for attachment.
- Attach Deck Brackets: If mounting to a deck, attach the adjustable deck brackets to the top of the handrail posts as per the diagram.
Installation
- Placement: Position the assembled and weighted steps inside your above-ground pool. Ensure the base rests firmly on the pool liner or floor.
- Deck Mounting (Optional): If your pool has a deck, align the adjustable deck brackets with the deck edge. The steps are designed for decks between 48 and 54 inches in height. Secure the brackets to the deck using appropriate fasteners (not included) to ensure maximum stability.
- Final Check: Before first use, ensure the steps are stable, properly weighted, and securely attached to the deck if applicable.
Operation
The Aqua Select Anti-Slip In-Pool Steps provide a safe and convenient way to enter and exit your above-ground pool.
- Always use the handrails for support when stepping onto or off the steps.
- Ensure children are supervised when using the pool steps.
- Avoid running or jumping on the steps.
Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the steps to prevent algae buildup and maintain the anti-slip properties of the treads. Use a soft brush and mild pool-safe cleaner.
- Inspect for Damage: Regularly inspect all components, including step sections, handrails, and attachment points, for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Replace damaged parts immediately.
- Winterization: Before closing your pool for the winter, remove the steps from the pool. Drain any water and sand, clean thoroughly, and store in a dry, protected area to prolong product life.
