  2. Wash the SimpliServe Pot and Pressure Cooker Lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the Main Unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the Main Unit in water or any other liquid.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the appliance on a clean, dry, level surface.
  • Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper ventilation, especially when releasing pressure.
  • Do not place the unit near the edge of a countertop or near heat sources.

4.3 Assembly

  2. Align the Pressure Cooker Lid with the Main Unit. Turn the lid clockwise until it locks into place. The lid handles should align with the base handles.
  3. Ensure the pressure release valve is set to the SEAL position for pressure cooking.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Operation

  1. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
  2. Add ingredients to the SimpliServe Pot. Ensure liquid levels are within the minimum and maximum fill lines.
  3. Secure the Pressure Cooker Lid as described in Section 4.3.
  4. Use the control dial to select your desired cooking function (e.g., Pressure Cook, Slow Cook, Rice).
  5. Adjust cooking time and temperature/pressure level using the dedicated buttons and control dial.
  6. Press the START/STOP button to begin cooking.

5.2 Pressure Cooking

  1. Select the PRESSURE COOK function.
  2. Ensure the pressure release valve is in the SEAL position.
  3. Set the desired pressure level (HIGH or LOW) and cooking time.
  4. Press START/STOP. The unit will preheat and build pressure. Once pressure is reached, the cooking timer will begin.
  5. After cooking, allow pressure to release naturally or use the quick release method as appropriate for your recipe.

5.3 Pressure Release Methods

  • Natural Pressure Release (NPR): After cooking, the unit will gradually depressurize on its own. This is recommended for foods that expand, like grains, or for larger cuts of meat. The float valve will drop when pressure is fully released.
  • Quick Pressure Release (QPR): Carefully turn the pressure release valve to the VENT position. Steam will rapidly escape. Use caution to avoid contact with hot steam. This method is suitable for delicate foods or when a recipe specifies.

5.4 Other Functions

For other functions like Slow Cook, Rice, Pasta, Sear/Sauté, Yogurt, Steam, and Sous Vide, select the corresponding function and adjust time/temperature settings as needed. Refer to the Quick Start Guide for specific recipe timings and instructions.
