Setup & Pairing

1. Inserting Batteries and USB Dongle

Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. The USB receiver dongle is stored inside this compartment. Remove the dongle and close the battery cover.

2. Bluetooth Pairing (for Google TV/Android TV devices)

To connect your RC45 remote via Bluetooth:

1. Ensure your streaming device's Bluetooth is enabled.
2. On the RC45 remote, press and hold the Back button () and Home button () simultaneously for 3-5 seconds until the LED indicator on the remote flashes rapidly (fast red and blue). This activates pairing mode.
3. On your Google TV or Android TV device, navigate to Bluetooth Settings.
4. Select Add remote / accessory.
5. Choose G20 (or similar identifier) from the list of available devices.
6. Confirm the connection on your device. The remote's LED will stop flashing once successfully paired.

3. IR Learning (for TV Power, Volume, Input)

The RC45 remote supports IR learning for essential TV functions. Only the Power button and Mute button can be programmed via IR learning.

1. Place the RC45 remote and your TV's original IR remote head-to-head, about 1-3 cm apart.
2. On the RC45 remote, press and hold the Power button (top left) for 3 seconds until the LED indicator starts flashing rapidly.
3. While the RC45's LED is flashing, press the corresponding button (e.g., Power) on your TV's original IR remote.
4. The RC45's LED will flash rapidly then stop, indicating successful learning.
5. Repeat the process for the Mute button if desired.

Operating Instructions

1. Button Functions

The RC45 remote features a standard layout with dedicated buttons for various functions:

• Power Button: Turns your device on/off (IR learned).
• Mute Button: Mutes/unmutes audio (IR learned).
• Air Mouse Button: Activates/deactivates the air mouse cursor.
• Direction Pad (OK button): Navigates menus and confirms selections.
• Home Button: Returns to the home screen.
• Back Button: Goes back to the previous screen/menu.
• Volume +/-: Adjusts volume.
• Voice Command Button: Activates Google Assistant for voice input.
• Number Keys (0-9): For direct input or channel selection.
• Media Playback Controls: Play, Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind.
• Backlight Button: Toggles the key backlight on/off.

2. Air Mouse Function

The built-in 6-axis gyroscope allows for intuitive air mouse control. Press the Air Mouse button to activate the cursor on your screen. Move the remote in the air to control the cursor. Press the Air Mouse button again to deactivate it.

3. Voice Control with Google Assistant

With Bluetooth connected, press the Voice Command button to activate Google Assistant. Speak your commands clearly into the remote's built-in microphone to search for content, launch apps, or control your device hands-free.

Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding: Ensure batteries are correctly inserted and charged. Re-pair the remote via Bluetooth if necessary.
• Air mouse not working: Press the Air Mouse button to activate the cursor. If still unresponsive, try re-pairing.
• Voice control not working: Ensure the remote is paired via Bluetooth. Voice control functionality depends on your streaming device's support for Google Assistant.
• IR learning failed: Ensure the remotes are placed close enough (1-3 cm) and pointed directly at each other. Repeat the learning steps carefully.
• Bluetooth connection issues: If the remote does not connect, ensure "G20" (or similar) is selected and connected in your device's Bluetooth menu. Try moving the remote closer to your device (3-5 ft).

Maintenance

• Clean the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
• Avoid exposing the remote to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
• Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
