Setup (Assembly Instructions)
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your bed frame. It is recommended to assemble the bed frame in the room where it will be used.
- Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface (like a carpet) to prevent scratches. Identify each part using the included parts list.
- Attach Side Rails to Headboard: Connect the side rails to the headboard using the provided bolts and Allen wrench. Ensure the connections are secure but do not fully tighten yet.
- Attach Side Rails to Footboard: Connect the other end of the side rails to the footboard. Again, secure with bolts but do not fully tighten.
- Install Center Support Legs (if applicable): If your model includes center support legs, attach them to the center support beam or directly to the side rails as per the specific diagram in your hardware pack.
- Insert Slats: Place the 12 screw-fixed slats across the side rails. Ensure they are evenly spaced and align with the pre-drilled holes. Secure each slat to the side rails using the provided screws. This creates a reliable slatted platform.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are in place and aligned, go back and fully tighten all bolts and screws. Do not overtighten.
- Check Stability: Gently shake the assembled frame to ensure it is stable and all connections are secure.

Operating (Usage)
Your GIANTEX bed frame is designed for optimal comfort and support. Follow these guidelines for proper use:
- Mattress Placement: Place your mattress directly onto the slatted platform. The raised edges of the frame are designed to keep your mattress securely in place.
- No Box Spring Needed: This bed frame is engineered to provide sufficient support for your mattress without the need for a box spring.
- Recommended Mattress Size: For best fit and support, use a mattress between 8 and 12 inches thick.
- Weight Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across the bed frame. Avoid concentrating heavy loads on a single point.

Figure 3: Recommended mattress thickness and confirmation that no box spring is required.

Figure 4: The 7.5-inch under-bed space allows for easy cleaning and provides storage opportunities.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your wooden bed frame:
- Cleaning: Wipe the wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Tighten Fasteners: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) check all bolts and screws and re-tighten them to ensure the frame remains stable and quiet.
- Avoid Excessive Moisture: Keep the bed frame away from areas with high humidity or direct exposure to water to prevent wood warping or damage.
- Protect from Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause wood to fade or crack. Position the bed frame to minimize direct sun exposure.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your bed frame, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bed frame squeaks or wobbles. | Loose bolts or screws. | Check all assembly bolts and screws and tighten them securely. Ensure slats are properly seated and screwed down. |
| Mattress slides on the frame. | Mattress not properly seated or raised edges not effective. | Ensure the mattress is centered within the frame's raised edges. If sliding persists, consider a non-slip mattress pad. |
| Parts are missing or damaged upon arrival. | Shipping damage or packaging error. | Do not proceed with assembly. Contact GIANTEX customer support immediately for replacement parts. |
