  • LCD Display: Shows angle measurements, battery status, and mode indicators. Features a backlight for clear visibility.
  • ON/OFF Button: Powers the device on or off.
  • TILT% Button: Switches between angle (degrees) and slope (percentage) readout.
  • HOLD Button: Freezes the current measurement on the display.
  • ZERO Button: Sets the current position as the relative zero point for relative angle measurements.
  • Laser Apertures: Located on both sides, emitting green laser lines.
  • Magnetic Base: Strong magnets on four sides for secure attachment to metal surfaces.
  • Type-C Charging Port: For recharging the internal battery.

5. Setup

5.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the device. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the device and to a standard USB power adapter (not included). The battery indicator on the LCD will show charging status. A full charge ensures optimal performance and extended runtime.

5.2 Powering On/Off

Press the ON/OFF button to turn the device on. Press and hold the ON/OFF button again to turn it off. The device may also have an auto-off feature to conserve battery.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Absolute and Relative Measurement Modes

The device supports two measurement modes:

  • Absolute Measurement Mode: Measures the angle relative to a true horizontal surface (0°).
  • Relative Measurement Mode: Allows you to set any surface as a temporary 0° reference point. To activate, place the device on your desired reference surface and press the ZERO button. The display will show 0.00°. Subsequent measurements will be relative to this new zero. Press ZERO again to return to absolute measurement.

6.2 Laser Operation

The device features dual green lasers for enhanced visibility and alignment. The lasers can be activated or deactivated by a dedicated button (often integrated with the ON/OFF or a separate laser button, refer to product diagram for specific button). The green laser lines are significantly brighter and more visible than traditional red lasers, making them suitable for various lighting conditions and surfaces.

6.3 Data Hold Function

To freeze the current measurement on the display, press the HOLD button. This is useful for taking readings in awkward positions or tight spaces where direct viewing of the display is difficult. Press the HOLD button again to release the measurement and resume live readings.

6.4 Unit Conversion (Degrees/Percentage)

Press the TILT% button to switch the display between angle measurements in degrees (°) and slope measurements in percentage (%).

6.5 Magnetic Attachment

The device features strong built-in magnets on all four sides, allowing it to be securely attached to metal surfaces, pipes, or saw blades. This enables hands-free operation and ensures stable accuracy during measurements.

7. Calibration

The coobeast Digital Angle Finder is factory-calibrated for accuracy. However, if you suspect the accuracy is compromised (e.g., after a significant impact or prolonged use), recalibration may be necessary. Refer to the detailed instructions provided in the separate calibration guide (if included with your product) or contact customer support for guidance. Typically, recalibration involves placing the device on a known flat surface, zeroing it, rotating it 180 degrees, and following on-screen prompts to adjust the sensor.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the laser apertures and display are clean for optimal performance.
  • Storage: Store the device in its protective storage bag in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if the device is not used frequently, to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
  • IP54 Rating: The device is IP54 rated, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. While durable, avoid submerging the device in water.
