3. Setup
3.1 Meter Settings
To set the time and unit (mg/dL or mmol/L) on your monitor:
- Ensure the meter is off.
- Press and hold the 'M' button to enter the setting mode.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to adjust the time and select your preferred unit of measurement.

3.2 Lancing Device Preparation
Prepare the lancing device for blood sample collection:
- Rotate and remove the cap from the lancing device.
- Insert a new sterile lancet firmly into the lancet holder.
- Twist off the protective cap from the lancet.
- Replace the lancing device cap.
- Adjust the penetration depth by rotating the top of the lancing device. There are 5 depth levels; start with a lower setting and adjust as needed for a sufficient blood sample.
- Pull back the cocking control until it clicks, indicating it is ready to use.

3.3 Test Strip Insertion
The monitor automatically recognizes batch codes, eliminating the need for manual coding.
- Remove a test strip from its vial and immediately close the vial cap tightly to protect remaining strips from moisture.
- Insert the test strip into the test strip port of the meter. The meter will turn on automatically.

4. Operating Instructions: Blood Glucose Testing Procedure
Follow these steps for an accurate blood glucose test:
- Wash and Dry Hands: Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and warm water, then dry them completely.
- Assemble Lancing Device: Prepare the lancing device as described in Section 3.2.
- Prepare Test Strip: Remove a test strip from the vial and close the cap. Insert the test strip into the meter.
- Obtain Blood Sample: Place the lancing device firmly against the side of your fingertip and press the release button. A small drop of blood will form.
- Apply Blood Sample: Gently touch the absorbent hole of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood will be drawn into the strip automatically. Do not apply blood to the top of the strip.
- Read Results: The meter will display your blood glucose result in approximately 5 seconds.
- Eject Strip and Lancet: Use the single-touch strip ejection feature to hygienically remove the used test strip. Eject the used lancet from the lancing device into a suitable sharps container.

5. Getting Accurate Test Results
To ensure the most accurate readings:
- Before Use:
- Check test strips for contamination, dampness, or expiration.
- Clean and dry your hands thoroughly to avoid contaminating the blood sample.
- During Use:
- Before collecting a blood sample, massage your fingers for 10 seconds and lower your arm for 5 seconds to ensure adequate blood flow.
- Avoid touching the contact strips and the absorption hole of the test strip with your fingers, except for the blood collection site.
- Important Note: Never reuse a test strip. Continuous testing may show slight variations as each drop of blood can differ, potentially leading to minor differences in test results.

6. Memory Function
The Stondon Blood Glucose Monitor automatically stores up to 500 test results.
- To view the most recent test result, short press the 'M' button when the device is off. The result will display for 1 second.
- To view subsequent test results, short press the 'M' button again to scroll through the stored readings.
