Assembly Instructions

Assembly is required for this daybed. Follow the detailed assembly instructions, diagrams, and use the provided tools to ensure correct and secure construction. No box spring is required as the mattress rests directly on the slats.

1. Unpack and Identify Components

Carefully unpack all parts from both packages. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Refer to the included parts list and diagrams to identify each component.

2. Assemble the Main Daybed Frame

Begin by connecting the main frame components. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely but do not overtighten until the frame is fully assembled.

3. Install Slats

Once the main frame is stable, install the plywood slats onto the designated supports. Ensure slats are evenly spaced and securely fastened to provide proper mattress support.

4. Assemble the Trundle Bed

Assemble the trundle bed frame separately. Attach the wheels to the trundle frame, ensuring they can move freely and lock when needed.

Operating Instructions

Using the Trundle Bed

The trundle bed is designed to provide additional sleeping space. To use, simply pull the trundle frame out from under the main daybed. Ensure the wheels are unlocked for smooth movement. To store, push the trundle back under the daybed and lock the wheels if desired for stability.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: For the velvet upholstery, gently vacuum with an upholstery attachment to remove dust. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub. For stubborn stains, consult a professional upholstery cleaner.
  • Frame Care: Periodically check all bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability.
  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading of the velvet fabric.

Troubleshooting

  • Squeaking Noises: If the daybed or trundle squeaks, check all bolts and screws for tightness. Ensure slats are properly seated and not rubbing against the frame.
  • Trundle Not Sliding Smoothly: Check for obstructions under the daybed. Ensure trundle wheels are clean and free of debris. Verify wheels are unlocked.
  • USB Ports Not Working: Ensure the daybed is properly connected to a functioning power outlet. Check the USB cable and device for proper connection.
