1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Ecarke Electric Mini Chainsaw. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your tool. Please read it thoroughly before use and keep it for future reference. This chainsaw is designed for pruning trees, cutting branches, and other light to medium wood cutting tasks.
2. Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when operating power tools. Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury or property damage.
General Safety Precautions:
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE): This includes safety goggles, gloves, and sturdy footwear.
- Keep work area clear: Ensure no bystanders, especially children or pets, are near the cutting area.
- Inspect the tool before each use: Check for loose parts, damaged chains, or any other issues.
- Maintain a firm grip: Always hold the chainsaw with both hands during operation.
- Avoid kickback: Be aware of the chain's rotation direction and avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar.
- Dual Safety Locks: The electric saw is equipped with dual safety locks. Both the safety lock and the start button must be pressed simultaneously to start the saw, preventing accidental startup.
- Chain Saw Guard: The integrated chain saw guard helps prevent wood chips from flying towards the user.

4. Setup
4.1. Chain and Guide Plate Installation (Tool-Free)
The Ecarke Mini Chainsaw features a tool-free chain adjustment system for easy installation and replacement.
- Unscrew the Protective Cover: Rotate the knob on the side of the chainsaw counter-clockwise to loosen and remove the protective cover.
- Fit the Saw Chain onto the Guide Bar: Ensure the chain teeth are facing the correct cutting direction as indicated on the guide bar.
- Align the Chain with the Sprocket: Place the guide bar with the chain onto the chainsaw body, ensuring the chain engages with the drive sprocket.
- Secure the Protective Cover: Reinstall the protective cover and tighten the knob clockwise until secure. Ensure the chain has proper tension; it should be snug but still able to move freely around the guide bar.

4.2. Automatic Oiler System Setup
The chainsaw features an automatic oiler system to ensure continuous lubrication of the chain.
- Locate the Oil Tank: Identify the oil tank cap on the chainsaw body.
- Fill with Lubricant: Carefully pour appropriate chain lubricant (not included) into the oil tank using the provided oil bottle. The oiling port has been enlarged to 13mm for easier filling.
- Secure the Cap: Close the oil tank cap tightly.
The system will automatically lubricate the chain during operation, reducing wear and noise. One filling is typically sufficient for a full day's operation.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Attaching the Battery
Insert a charged Milwaukee 18V battery into the battery slot at the base of the chainsaw handle until it clicks into place.
5.2. Starting the Chainsaw
To start the chainsaw, simultaneously press the safety lock button and the trigger switch. Release the safety lock button once the saw is running, but keep the trigger switch pressed to maintain operation.
5.3. Cutting Techniques
- Hold Firmly: Always hold the chainsaw with both hands, maintaining a balanced stance.
- Start Slowly: Allow the chain to reach full speed before engaging with the wood.
- Apply Gentle Pressure: Let the saw do the work. Do not force the chain through the wood.
- Avoid Kickback: Be mindful of the guide bar tip. Cutting with the tip can cause sudden upward movement (kickback).
- Branch Cutting: For smaller branches, cut from the top down. For larger branches, make an undercut first to prevent pinching, then complete the cut from the top.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Chain Tension Adjustment
Regularly check chain tension. A properly tensioned chain should be snug against the guide bar but still allow you to pull it freely by hand. Adjust tension using the tool-free knob as described in the installation section.
6.2. Chain Lubrication
Ensure the automatic oiler system is always filled with appropriate chain lubricant. Check the oil level before each use. Proper lubrication is critical for chain longevity and cutting performance.
6.3. Cleaning and Storage
- Disconnect Battery: Always remove the battery before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Clean Debris: Use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust and debris from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing.
- Store Properly: Store the chainsaw in its plastic case in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
