2. Installation
The Cygolite Hypershot 250 comes with both a seatpost mount and a seatstay mount for flexible installation. Choose the mount that best suits your bicycle and ensures optimal visibility.
Mounting the Light:
- Select either the seatpost or seatstay mount.
- Wrap the chosen mount around the bicycle's seatpost (up to 32mm diameter) or seatstay (up to 20mm diameter).
- Tighten the screw on the mount until it is securely in place.
- Adjust the up and down pitch of the mount to your preferred angle for optimal light direction, then tighten the screw firmly.
- Slide the Hypershot 250 light onto the mount until it snaps securely into place.

3. Operation
The Hypershot 250 features a user-friendly two-button control system for power, mode selection, and flash speed/brightness adjustments.

Power On/Off and Mode Selection:
- To turn the light ON, press the Left Power Button once.
- To cycle through the 7 lighting modes, press the Left Power Button repeatedly. The modes include:
- Steady
- Zoom
- SteadyPulse
- Bzzz Flash
- Triple Flash
- DayLightning Flash
- Random Flash
- To turn the light OFF, press and hold the Left Power Button for approximately 1 second.

Adjusting Flash Speed and Brightness (Patented Feature):
The Hypershot 250 features a patented adjustable flash speed and brightness control, exclusive to Cygolite, allowing you to customize your visibility on the go.
- Adjusting Flash Speed (in flash modes): While in any flash mode, press and hold the Right Adjust Button. The flash speed will gradually increase. Release the button to set the desired speed. To decrease the flash speed, release the button and press and hold it again; the speed will then decrease.
- Adjusting Brightness (in Steady mode): While in Steady mode, press and hold the Right Adjust Button. The brightness will gradually dim. Release the button to set the desired brightness. To increase brightness, release the button and press and hold it again; the brightness will then increase.

4. Charging
The Hypershot 250 is equipped with a Micro USB port for convenient recharging. A low battery indicator will alert you when charging is needed.
Charging Instructions:
- Locate the Micro USB port on the light (typically covered by a rubber flap for water resistance).
- Open the rubber flap and insert the Micro USB charging cable into the port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a powered USB port (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
- The light will indicate charging status (e.g., a specific LED color or pattern).
- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and ensure the rubber flap is securely closed to maintain water resistance.
