Figure 6.1: The Waterdrop CT01 helps avoid plastic and reduce costs. With a 300-liter filter volume and 3-month filter duration, it offers significant savings and reduced energy consumption (0.19 kWh/day).
- Unplug the dispenser from the power outlet.
- Remove the water tank and the old filter cartridge.
- Dispose of the old filter responsibly.
- Install a new Waterdrop filter cartridge as described in Section 4.2.
- Perform the initial rinse procedure (Section 4.4) after installing a new filter.
6.2 Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the dispenser with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Regularly clean the drip tray and its cover. These parts are usually removable and can be washed with mild soap and water.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and plugging in the unit.
6.3 Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up, especially in the hot water components. Regular descaling helps maintain performance and prolong the appliance's lifespan.
- Unplug the dispenser and empty the water tank.
- Prepare a descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions (e.g., a mixture of white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaling agent suitable for water dispensers).
- Pour the descaling solution into the water tank.
- Run several cycles of hot water through the dispenser (without consuming it) to allow the solution to clean the internal components.
- After descaling, thoroughly rinse the system by running several tanks of fresh water through it to remove any residual descaling solution.
