Welcome to the Qlife Spark Electric Bike user manual. This guide provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new electric bike. Please read this manual thoroughly before your first ride to ensure optimal performance and safety.

2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding. Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations. Perform pre-ride checks as outlined in this manual.

  • Pre-Ride Check: Inspect brakes, tires, battery, and all fasteners before each ride.
  • Traffic Laws: Obey all local traffic laws, signs, and signals.

  • Passenger Limit: This bike is designed for a single rider unless equipped with appropriate passenger accessories.

3. What's in the Box

Upon opening your Qlife Spark package, you should find the following components:

4. Setup and Assembly

Your Qlife Spark Electric Bike arrives approximately 90% pre-assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:

4.1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit. Keep the packaging for at least 7 days in case a return is necessary.

4.2. Handlebar Installation

  1. Loosen the bolts on the handlebar stem.
  2. Position the handlebars into the stem, ensuring they are centered and aligned.
  3. Tighten the bolts securely.

4.3. Front Fender and Wheel Installation

  1. Attach the front fender to the fork using the provided screws.
  2. Carefully align the front wheel with the fork dropouts, ensuring the brake rotor slides into the caliper.
  3. Install the washers and nuts, then tighten them securely.

4.4. Pedal Installation

  1. Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals.
  2. Thread the 'L' pedal counter-clockwise into the left crank arm.
  3. Thread the 'R' pedal clockwise into the right crank arm.
  4. Tighten both pedals firmly with a wrench.

4.5. Headlight Installation

  1. Attach the headlight bracket to the front fork.
  2. Mount the headlight onto the bracket and secure it.
  3. Connect the headlight cable to the corresponding connector.

4.6. Display Installation

  1. Mount the center-mounted color LCD display onto the handlebars.
  2. Secure the display firmly and connect its cable.

4.7. Battery Installation

  1. Insert the 48V 13Ah detachable battery into its compartment on the bike frame.
  2. Use the provided key to lock the battery in place.

5. Operating Your Qlife Spark

Familiarize yourself with the controls and riding modes for a safe and enjoyable experience.

5.1. Powering On/Off

To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the display. To power off, press and hold the same button.

5.2. Riding Modes

Your Qlife Spark offers four riding modes:

  • Electric Mode: Full throttle, no pedaling required.
  • Pedal-Assist Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal. There are 5 levels of electric assist.
  • Pedal-Only Mode: Ride like a traditional bicycle without motor assistance.
  • Cruising Mode: Maintain a constant speed without continuous throttle input.

5.3. Speed Unlocking

The bike's top speed is 28 MPH. To unlock speeds up to 35 MPH, follow these steps:

  1. Hold the right brake lever fully.
  2. Apply the throttle fully.
  3. Press the power button to turn on the display.
  4. Wait for 5 seconds.
  5. Release both the brake and throttle.

Caution: Unlocking higher speeds may not be legal in all areas. Always check local regulations.

5.4. Display Functions

The center-mounted color LCD display provides real-time information:

  • Current Speed
  • Power Output
  • Pedal Assist System (PAS) Level
  • Battery Life Indicator
  • Trip Time
  • Odometer

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your Qlife Spark.

6.1. Battery Care

  • Charge the battery fully before the first use and after every ride.
  • Do not allow the battery to fully discharge.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to 50-70% every 2-3 months.

6.2. Tire Pressure

Check tire pressure regularly. The recommended pressure for the 20''x4.0'' fat tires is typically between 5-30 PSI, but always refer to the tire sidewall for exact specifications.

6.3. Brake Checks

Regularly inspect the motorcycle-grade dual brakes for wear and proper function. Ensure brake levers are firm and responsive. Adjust or replace brake pads as needed.

6.4. General Cleaning

Clean your bike with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components.

7. Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
