Operating Instructions
Charging the Battery
The FERM CDA1189 battery features a convenient USB-C charging port.
- Obtain a standard USB-A to USB-C charging cable (not supplied).
- Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the port on the battery.
- Connect the USB-A end of the cable to a suitable USB power source, such as a computer's USB port, a power bank, or a USB wall adapter (not supplied).
- The LED indicator on the battery will illuminate red to indicate that charging is in progress.
- Once the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator will turn green. Disconnect the battery from the charging cable.

Inserting and Removing the Battery from a Tool
To power your FERM AX-Power 12V tool:
- Align the battery with the battery slot on your FERM AX-Power 12V tool.
- Slide the battery firmly into the slot until you hear a distinct 'click', indicating it is securely locked in place.
To remove the battery:
- Locate the battery release button on the tool or battery.
- Press and hold the release button.
- Slide the battery out of the tool.

Storage

- Tool not powering on: Verify that the battery is fully charged (green LED). Ensure the battery is correctly and securely inserted into the tool until it clicks. Check the tool itself for any potential faults.
- Reduced run time: This can be normal for older batteries. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use. Operating in very cold conditions can temporarily reduce battery performance.
