- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the ice maker for any damage. Ensure all accessories (ice basket, ice scoop) are present.
- Placement: Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space around the unit for proper ventilation.
- Refrigerant Settling: After transportation, allow the ice maker to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker. Refer to the 'Cleaning and Maintenance' section for detailed instructions.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Operation
Follow these steps to operate your Aeitto Nugget Ice Maker:
- Add Water: Open the top lid and remove the ice basket. Pour potable water into the water tank up to the 'MAX' fill line. Do not overfill.
- Replace Basket and Close Lid: Place the ice basket back into position and close the top lid securely.
- Start Ice Production: Press the 'On/Off' button on the control panel. The 'Making Ice' indicator light will illuminate.
- First Batch: The first cycle of ice production typically takes about 6 minutes. Discard the first few batches of ice to ensure optimal hygiene and taste.
- Indicator Lights:
- Making Ice: Green light indicates the unit is actively making ice.
- Add Water: Red light indicates the water tank is low and needs refilling. The unit will pause operation until water is added.
- Ice Full: Green light indicates the ice basket is full. The unit will pause operation until ice is removed.
- Continuous Ice Making: The ice maker features an induction infrared sensor. When the ice basket is full, ice production will halt. It will resume automatically approximately 30 minutes after the ice level drops.
