8. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound:
    • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the amplifier is powered on.
    • Verify that the correct input mode (BT, RCA1, or RCA2) is selected.
    • Check all audio cable connections between sources, amplifier, and speakers.
    • Confirm that the volume is not set to minimum or muted.
    • Ensure speakers are correctly wired to the binding posts with correct polarity.
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues:
    • Ensure the amplifier is in Bluetooth mode.
    • Disable and re-enable Bluetooth on your source device.
    • Try forgetting the device ("Fosi Audio BT20A MAX") from your source device's Bluetooth list and re-pairing.
    • Ensure the Bluetooth antenna is securely attached.
    • Reduce the distance between the source device and the amplifier.
  • Remote Control Not Working:
    • Check if the remote control batteries need replacement.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the amplifier's IR receiver.
    • Confirm the remote is paired with the amplifier (if applicable, though typically IR remotes don't require pairing).
  • Distorted Sound:
    • Reduce the volume on both the amplifier and the source device.
    • Check for loose cable connections.
    • Ensure speaker impedance matches the amplifier's supported range (2-8Ω).
    • If using tone controls, try switching to "Bypass" mode to see if the distortion persists.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the amplifier's exterior. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the amplifier has adequate ventilation to prevent overheating. Do not block the ventilation slots.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the amplifier in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
