Setup and Installation

Important Safety Information: Before beginning any installation, disconnect power to your refrigerator by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator.

1. Access the Old Ice Maker: Locate the existing ice maker inside your freezer compartment. This may require removing the ice bucket and any protective covers.
2. Disconnect Wiring: Carefully disconnect the electrical wiring harness from the old ice maker. Note the orientation for reinstallation.

3. Remove Old Ice Maker: Unscrew or unclip the old ice maker from its mounting brackets.
4. Install New Ice Maker: Position the new ice maker in the same location as the old one. Secure it using the existing screws or clips.
5. Connect Wiring: Connect the electrical wiring harness to the new ice maker. Ensure a secure connection.

6. Restore Power and Water: Once the new ice maker is securely installed and wired, restore the water supply and plug the refrigerator back in or turn on the circuit breaker.
7. Initial Operation: The ice maker will typically begin producing ice within 24 hours. Discard the first few batches of ice to ensure cleanliness.

Operating Instructions

The ice maker operates automatically once installed and connected to a water supply. It will produce ice until the ice bucket is full, at which point the sensor arm will stop production. When ice is removed, the sensor arm will drop, and ice production will resume.

• Ensure the water supply to the refrigerator is turned on.
• Keep the ice bucket properly positioned for ice collection.
• Do not obstruct the sensor arm, as this will prevent ice production.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure consistent ice production and extends the life of your ice maker.

• Cleaning: Periodically remove the ice bucket and wash it with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before returning it to the freezer.
• Ice Maker Unit: If necessary, wipe down the exterior of the ice maker unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray water directly onto the unit.
• Water Filter: Ensure your refrigerator's water filter is replaced according to the manufacturer's recommendations to maintain water quality and prevent mineral buildup in the ice maker.
