3. Compatibility
The Ottocast Mini Pico is designed for vehicles equipped with factory-wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. It supports both USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports, ensuring broad compatibility across various car models.

Known Incompatible Vehicles: Currently, the following car models are known to be incompatible and cannot be used with this product:

- LEXUS
- Rakuten Hand 5G
- Toyota Sienta
- Land Cruiser 250GX
- Some Subaru models (please confirm if your Subaru model supports wired CarPlay before purchase)
4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps for the initial setup of your Ottocast Mini Pico adapter:
- Connect the Adapter: Plug the Ottocast Mini Pico into your car's USB port that supports wired CarPlay or Android Auto. Use the appropriate USB adapter (Type-A to Type-C or Type-A to Type-A) if needed.
- Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your Smartphone: Ensure that both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned ON in your smartphone's settings.
- Pair with Bluetooth: On your smartphone, search for available Bluetooth devices and select the device named "CAR-XXXX" (where XXXX is a unique identifier for your adapter) to pair. Confirm any pairing requests on your phone and car screen.
- Start Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto: Once paired, your car's infotainment system should automatically launch wireless CarPlay or Android Auto.
After the first successful connection, the adapter will automatically connect to your smartphone when you start your car's engine, eliminating the need for manual pairing each time.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Core Functions
The Ottocast Mini Pico enables full functionality of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly, including:
- Navigation (e.g., Google Maps, Apple Maps)
- Music Playback (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music)
- Phone Calls
- Messaging
- Siri / Google Assistant Voice Control

5.2 Control Methods
You can control CarPlay and Android Auto through your vehicle's native controls:
- Original knob operation
- Touch screen operation
- Steering wheel controls
- Voice commands (Siri or Google Assistant)

5.3 Switching Between Smartphones
The Ottocast Mini Pico allows for quick switching between two paired smartphones (e.g., one for CarPlay, one for Android Auto) with a single button press on the adapter. No complex re-pairing is required.
Note: Before switching, ensure that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on the smartphone you wish to connect to.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Online Firmware Upgrade (OTA)
The Ottocast Mini Pico supports online firmware upgrades (OTA) to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features. Regular updates can improve stability and compatibility.
To perform an online upgrade:
- Connect the Adapter: Plug the adapter into a power source (e.g., your car's USB port or a USB power adapter).
- Connect to Device Wi-Fi: On your smartphone, connect to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the adapter (e.g., "CAR-XXXX"). The default password is usually "88888888".
- Access Upgrade Page: Open a web browser on your smartphone and enter the IP address 192.168.1.101 in the address bar.
- Perform Upgrade: On the displayed page, tap "Upgrade" to update the firmware. You may also find options for audio stream mode and delayed start mode settings on this page.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Ottocast Mini Pico, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
7.1 Connection Instability or Interruption
If the connection is unstable or frequently interrupted, insufficient power supply may be the cause.
- Restart the Device: First, try reconnecting or restarting the Ottocast Mini Pico adapter. Unplug it from the USB port, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in.
- Use Auxiliary Power: If restarting does not resolve the issue, use an auxiliary power supply via a Y-split power cable (not included) to ensure the adapter receives sufficient power.
7.2 Device Not Recognized
If your car's infotainment system does not recognize the Mini Pico, ensure that your vehicle supports wired CarPlay or Android Auto. Refer to the compatibility section (Section 3) and the dedicated compatibility check website.
