6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.
6.1. Emptying the Dust Bin
Empty the dust bin after each use or when it reaches the MAX fill line. Press the dust bin release button, detach the bin, and empty its contents into a waste bin. Reattach securely.
6.2. Cleaning the Filter
The Sinbo SVC-8634 uses a cloth filter. It is recommended to clean the filter regularly (e.g., once a month or as needed, depending on usage).
- Remove the dust bin.
- Carefully remove the cloth filter from the dust bin.
- Tap the filter gently over a waste bin to remove loose dust.
- If heavily soiled, the filter can be rinsed under cold running water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting. Do not use detergents or hot water.
- Reinsert the dry filter and reattach the dust bin.
6.3. Cleaning Brush Heads
Periodically check the brush heads for tangled hair or debris. Use scissors to cut away any tangled hair and remove it. Ensure the brush rolls freely.
6.4. Battery Care
To prolong battery life:
- Fully charge the battery before first use.
- Avoid completely draining the battery frequently.
- Store the vacuum cleaner in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% every few months.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum cleaner does not turn on. | Battery is not charged. | Charge the battery fully. |
| Low suction power. | Dust bin is full. Filter is clogged. Nozzle/tube is blocked. | Empty the dust bin. Clean or replace the filter. Check and clear any blockages in the nozzle or extension tube. |
| Brush head not rotating. | Hair or debris tangled in brush. Brush head is not properly attached. | Clean the brush head, removing any obstructions. Reattach the brush head securely. |
| Short operating time. | Battery not fully charged. Using high suction mode continuously. Battery aging. | Ensure battery is fully charged. Use lower suction modes for general cleaning. Battery life naturally decreases over time; consider battery replacement if significantly degraded. |
If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact Sinbo customer support.
