Featuring dual-lens imaging with a built-in IR camera and a 2MP visible-light camera, it supports five distinct image modes for efficient troubleshooting. Enhanced thermal clarity is achieved through TISR technology, boosting effective resolution from 256x192 to 512x384. This device is equipped with a 2.8-inch LCD screen, 32GB of internal storage for over 80,000 images and videos, and offers accurate temperature measurement with smart alerts. Setup

Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Upon receiving your FOXWELL RT280 PRO, carefully open the packaging box. Verify that all components listed in the 'What's in the Box' section are present and undamaged. The device is securely packaged to prevent transit damage.

Charging the Device

The RT280 PRO features a built-in rechargeable battery. To charge, locate the USB-C port, typically found under a protective cover on the device. Connect the provided USB-A to USB-C cable to the camera and a suitable USB power source. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status. Ensure the device is fully charged before first use for optimal performance.

Powering On/Off

To power on the device, press and hold the power button located on the control panel until the FOXWELL logo appears on the screen. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen shuts down. The device also supports adjustable auto power-off settings to conserve battery life.

Operating Instructions

Image Modes and Thermal Palettes

The RT280 PRO offers 5 image modes: Thermal, Visible, Outline Fusion, Picture-in-Picture (PIP), and Overlay Fusion. These modes allow you to switch between pure thermal views, visible light views, or blended views to highlight temperature differences and contextualize thermal data. Additionally, 9 color palettes are available to visualize subtle temperature variations with clarity, adapting to different inspection scenarios.

Temperature Measurement and Smart Alerts

The camera measures temperatures from -4°F to 1022°F (-20°C to 550°C) with an accuracy of ±3.6°F / ±2%. It automatically detects and displays the highest, lowest, and central temperature points on the screen. High/low alarms can be configured to alert you to anomalies, improving efficiency and safety during inspections.

Laser Targeting and LED Light

A built-in laser pointer allows for precise targeting of specific areas, ensuring accurate temperature readings. The integrated LED light provides illumination in dark or confined spaces, enhancing visibility during inspections.

Video Recording and Storage

The RT280 PRO supports both photo and video recording. With 32GB of internal storage, it can store over 80,000 images or more than 40 hours of video. This ample storage capacity ensures all critical inspection data is saved and easily accessible.

PC Analysis

The RT280 PRO allows for easy transfer of images and videos to a Windows PC (not compatible with Mac) for advanced analysis. The included software supports point, line, and area temperature analysis, 2D/3D thermal imaging, and automatic report generation. This transforms complex thermal data into actionable, shareable insights.
