1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the SZHKHXD replacement infrared remote control. This remote is designed to function as a direct replacement for the original remote controls of the NYC Acoustics NPB3 and NNS NS-8093BT Portable PA System Audio Speakers.

It operates using infrared technology and requires no programming or complex setup procedures.

2. Compatibility

This remote control is specifically compatible with the following audio systems:

• NYC Acoustics NPB3 Portable PA System Audio Speaker
• NNS NS-8093BT Portable PA System Audio Speaker

Important: Before use, ensure that your original remote control is identical in appearance and button layout to this replacement remote. This remote is not universal and may not function with other models or brands.

3. Setup

This replacement remote control requires no programming. Simply insert the batteries to begin operation.

3.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or in the direction indicated by an arrow to open it.
3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Batteries are not included with the remote control and must be purchased separately.

4. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the infrared receiver on your NYC Acoustics NPB3 or NNS NS-8093BT Portable PA System. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the PA system.

4.1 Button Functions

• Power Button (⏻): Turns the PA system on or off.
• Mode Button: Cycles through input modes (e.g., Bluetooth, USB, SD, AUX, FM Radio).
• Mute Button (🔇): Mutes or unmutes the audio output.
• Volume Up (+): Increases the volume level.

5.1 Battery Replacement

If the remote control's range decreases or it becomes unresponsive, replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.1. Always replace both AAA batteries simultaneously with new ones.

5.2 Cleaning

To clean the remote control, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive pads, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

5.3 Storage

Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If the remote will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

  • Ensure fresh AAA batteries are correctly installed.

  • Confirm that the PA system is powered on.
• Limited range:
  • Replace the batteries with new ones.
  • Ensure there are no strong light sources (like direct sunlight) interfering with the infrared signal.

  • This remote is a direct replacement. If a specific button does not work, it may indicate an issue with the PA system's receiver or that the function is not supported by your specific PA system model.
