2. Installing the Battery Pack
- Align the charged battery pack with the battery port on the base of the impact wrench handle.
- Slide the battery pack into the tool until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is fully seated to prevent accidental dislodgement during operation.
3. Attaching Sockets
- Ensure the tool is off and the battery is removed before attaching or removing sockets.
- The impact wrench features a 1/2-inch square anvil with a friction ring.
- Push the desired 1/2-inch square drive socket firmly onto the anvil until it snaps into place. The friction ring will hold the socket securely.
- To remove, pull the socket firmly off the anvil.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off and Forward/Reverse Control
- The tool is activated by pressing the trigger. Releasing the trigger turns the tool off.
- The forward/reverse selector switch is located above the trigger. Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (tightening) and to the right for reverse rotation (loosening).
- When the switch is in the center position, the trigger is locked, preventing accidental activation.
2. 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL
The 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL system allows you to select different speed and power settings for various applications. This provides greater control over output speed and power, including specialized modes.
- Mode 1-3: Provide increasing levels of speed and torque for general fastening applications.
- Auto Shut-Off Mode: Designed for hand-tight applications, this mode applies no more than 15 ft-lbs of torque in forward, preventing overtightening.
- Bolt Removal Mode: In reverse, this mode slows down the RPM once the bolt is free, preventing bolts from flying around the work area.
To change modes, use the single-handed mode selector button, typically located on the tool's base or control panel.
