Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Maxfree M3 monitor, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the screens clean using a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Store the monitor in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • Handle the monitor with care to prevent physical damage, especially to the screens and hinges.

Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter with your Maxfree M3 monitor:

  • Q: Why does only the top screen work when I connect the monitor to my laptop?
A: Ensure the driver is installed as instructed, especially for Mac M1/M2/M3 chips or if using HDMI + USB-A connection.
  • Q: Why doesn't the monitor work when connected via USB-C cable?
A: Confirm your laptop has a full-featured USB-C port (Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 ports are also full-featured ports).
  • Q: Do I need to install any drivers?
A: If your laptop has a full-featured USB-C port, you can connect without installing a driver. If your device does not have a full-featured USB-C port or if it has an M1/M2/M3 chip, you need to install the driver.
  • Q: Why does the screen extender show flicker or go black?
A: Your laptop may not supply sufficient power for three displays simultaneously. Use an additional 5V/2A adapter to power the screen extender, which can also charge the laptop in reverse.
