  • Read the Manual: Familiarize yourself with all controls and proper use of the appliance.
  • Wear Eye and Ear Protection: Always wear safety glasses or goggles and ear protection when operating the mower.
  • Keep Area Clear: Ensure the mowing area is clear of stones, sticks, wires, and other debris that could be thrown by the blade.
  • Keep Bystanders Away: Do not allow children or bystanders near the mower during operation.
  • Dress Properly: Wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy, non-slip footwear. Do not operate barefoot or in open-toed sandals.
  • Avoid Wet Grass: Do not mow in wet conditions, as this can cause slipping and reduce cutting efficiency.
  • Inspect Before Use: Check the mower for damaged parts, loose fasteners, or worn blades before each use.
  • Battery Safety: Use only the specified battery pack and charger. Do not charge batteries in wet or damp conditions.
  • Maintenance: Disconnect the battery before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or when clearing a clogged chute.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your MZK lawn mower.

    • Locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck.
    • Pull the lever outwards and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are at the same height setting.
    • For best results, avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time.
  2. Starting the Mower:
    • Ensure batteries are fully charged and correctly installed.
    • Press and hold the safety button (if applicable).
    • While holding the safety button, pull the bail switch lever towards the handle. The motor will start.
    • Release the safety button once the motor is running.
  3. Stopping the Mower:
    • Release the bail switch lever. The motor will stop.
    • Always wait for the blade to come to a complete stop before approaching the mower or performing any adjustments.
  4. Mowing Techniques:
    • Mow in overlapping rows to ensure even coverage.
    • For optimal cutting, push the mower at a steady, moderate pace.
    • Empty the grass collection bag regularly to maintain cutting efficiency and prevent clogging.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawn mower.

  • Disconnect Battery: Always remove the battery pack before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Clean the Mower:
    • After each use, clean the underside of the mower deck to remove grass clippings and debris.
    • Use a brush or damp cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use water jets or high-pressure washers directly on the motor or electrical components.
  • Blade Inspection:
    • Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. A dull blade tears grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn.
    • If the blade is dull or damaged, have it sharpened or replaced by a qualified service technician.
  • Grass Bag:
    • Empty and clean the grass collection bag periodically to prevent mildew and maintain airflow.
  • Battery Care:
    • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
    • For long-term storage, charge batteries to approximately 50% capacity.
  • Storage:
    • Store the mower in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
    • The handle can be folded for compact storage.
