Introduction

The VolenGo H1100 is a portable, handheld label maker designed for efficient and versatile labeling tasks. Setup

1. Powering the Device

The H1100 label maker can be powered by two methods:

  • AAA Batteries: Insert 6 AAA dry cell batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the back of the device. Ensure correct polarity.
  • USB-C Cable: Connect the provided USB-C cable to the label maker and a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.

2. Loading Label Tape

  1. Open the tape compartment cover on the back of the label maker.
  2. Insert the label tape cassette with the tape facing the print head. Ensure the tape is properly aligned and clicks into place.
  3. Close the tape compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press the Power button to turn the label maker on or off.

2. Using the Backlit LCD

The H1100 features a backlit LCD screen for improved visibility. If the backlight is off, press the dedicated backlight key (often indicated by a lightbulb icon) to activate it. This is particularly useful in low-light environments.

3. Text Entry and Editing

  • Use the QWERTY keyboard to type your desired text.
  • Use the arrow keys (Left/Right) to move the cursor.
  • Press Backspace/Delete to remove characters.
  • The Shift key allows access to uppercase letters and secondary characters.

4. Formatting Labels

The H1100 offers various formatting options:

  • Font: Press the Font button to select from multiple font styles and sizes (Small, Medium, Large).
  • Frame: Use the Frame button to add decorative borders around your text.
  • Symbol: Press the Symbol button to insert various symbols and icons.
  • Cable Mode: For specific cable labeling, use the Cable button to access specialized modes.

5. Saving and Recalling Labels

The H1100 includes built-in memory to save frequently used label designs. Refer to the on-screen menu options (accessible via the Menu button) to save and recall your labels.

6. Printing Labels

After composing and formatting your label, press the Print button (often indicated by a printer icon) to print. The label maker can print multiple labels at once, up to 20, depending on the settings.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Print Head: If print quality degrades, gently clean the print head using a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the device is off and dry before use.
  • Cleaning the Cutter: Periodically check the tape cutter for adhesive residue. If necessary, carefully clean it with a dry cloth.
  • Tape Storage: Store unused label tape cassettes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain adhesive quality.
  • Battery Care: Remove AAA batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
