Setup

1. Mounting the Device

The device is designed for handlebar mounting. Use the provided mounting kit and tools to securely attach the CarPlay screen to your motorcycle's handlebars. Ensure the unit is positioned for optimal visibility without obstructing your view of the road or motorcycle controls.

2. Power Connection

Connect the provided power cable to the designated port on the CarPlay screen. Then, connect the other end of the power adapter to your motorcycle's power supply. Ensure a secure connection to prevent power interruptions during operation.

3. Camera Installation (Optional)

If using the dual camera feature, install the front and rear cameras in suitable locations on your motorcycle. Connect the camera cables to the corresponding video input channels on the CarPlay screen. Refer to the camera-specific instructions for optimal placement and wiring.

4. GPS Antenna Connection

Connect the GPS cable to the unit and position the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.

5. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Setup (Optional)

If you have purchased additional TPMS accessories, follow their specific instructions for installation and pairing with the CarPlay screen. The screen will display tire pressure data once connected.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Once connected to the motorcycle's power supply, the device will typically power on automatically with the ignition. To manually power off, locate the power button on the unit and press and hold it until the shutdown prompt appears.

2. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto Connection

  1. Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your smartphone.
  2. On the CarPlay screen, navigate to the CarPlay or Android Auto application.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone via Bluetooth.
  4. Once paired, the device will automatically establish a Wi-Fi connection for CarPlay or Android Auto functionality.
  5. You can now access supported apps like navigation, music, and voice assistants directly from the screen.

3. GPS Navigation

The device features a built-in Wi-Fi module for online and offline map support. Connect to a Wi-Fi network to download and update maps. Applications such as Here WeGo, Waze, or Navfree can be used for navigation. Ensure the GPS antenna has a clear line of sight for accurate positioning.

4. Dual Camera Operation (DVR)

The dual HD cameras provide front and rear video input. You can switch between camera views or display a split-screen view to monitor both simultaneously. The device supports loop recording, ensuring continuous video capture. Video files are stored on a TF card (up to 64GB, optional).

5. Voice Assistant

To use the voice assistant function (Siri or Google Assistant), ensure your phone is connected via CarPlay or Android Auto. Wake up your phone's voice assistant by saying "Hey Siri" or "Hey Google" to control apps or the screen hands-free.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the screen and device exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the surface.

2. Waterproofing

The device features an IP68 waterproof rating, making it resistant to dust and water immersion. However, ensure all ports are securely covered when not in use to maintain water resistance. Avoid prolonged submersion or high-pressure water jets.

3. Software Updates

Periodically check for software updates via the device's settings menu when connected to Wi-Fi. Updates can improve performance, add features, and enhance security.

Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Powering On: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the device and the motorcycle's power supply. Check the motorcycle's ignition and battery.
  • CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting: Verify that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone and the device. Ensure your phone is compatible and that the pairing process was completed correctly. Try restarting both the device and your phone.
  • No GPS Signal: Ensure the GPS antenna is connected and has a clear view of the sky. Move to an open area away from tall buildings or dense foliage.
  • Poor Camera Image: Check camera connections. Clean the camera lenses if they are dirty. Ensure proper lighting conditions.
  • Screen Unresponsive: Try restarting the device. If the issue persists, perform a factory reset (refer to device settings, note that this will erase all user data).
