Operating Instructions
The AODELAN remote control supports various shooting functions:
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button on the receiver to turn it on or off. The transmitter typically powers on when a button is pressed and enters standby when idle.
- Autofocus (Half-Press): Gently press the shutter button halfway down on either the transmitter or receiver to activate your camera's autofocus system.
- Single Shot (Full Press): Press the shutter button fully down to take a single photograph.
- 2-Second Delayed Release: Press the '2S' delay button on the transmitter, then press the shutter button fully. The camera will trigger after a 2-second delay.
- Continuous Shooting: If your camera is set to continuous shooting mode, pressing and holding the shutter button on the remote will trigger continuous shots until released.
- Bulb Mode (Long Exposure): For long exposures, set your camera to Bulb mode. Press the shutter button on the remote once to open the shutter, and press it again to close the shutter.
- Anti-Shake: Using a remote control minimizes camera shake caused by pressing the camera's shutter button directly, resulting in sharper images, especially in low light or with long lenses.

Maintenance
- Charging: Recharge the remote control regularly, especially before extended use, to ensure optimal performance. Avoid completely draining the battery frequently.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote control. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the AODELAN website for any available firmware updates for the receiver to ensure continued compatibility and performance.
Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding: Ensure both the transmitter and receiver are charged and powered on. Check that the shutter release cable is securely connected to both the receiver and the camera.
- Camera not firing: Verify your camera's settings (e.g., focus mode, shooting mode). Ensure the camera is compatible with the remote control and the correct cable is used.
- Limited range: Ensure there are no significant obstructions between the transmitter and receiver. The 2.4GHz digital radio technology provides up to 60m (200ft) stable working distance in open areas.
- Receiver battery dead (Emergency Wired Mode): If the receiver's battery is depleted, you can still use it as a wired shutter release by connecting it directly to your camera with the appropriate cable.
