Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly. It is recommended to have two people for assembly.

Step 1: Assemble the Base Frame

Attach the casters to the bottom panel. Connect the side panels and central divider to form the main frame.

Step 2: Install Shelves and Drawer Glides

Insert the adjustable shelves into the cabinet sections. Secure the drawer glides to the appropriate panels.

Step 3: Attach the Tabletop

Carefully place and secure the varnished rubberwood tabletop onto the assembled frame.

Step 4: Assemble and Install Drawer and Doors

Assemble the deep drawer and install it into its glides. Attach the cabinet doors and the drop-leaf extension.

Step 5: Attach Towel Rack and Side Storage

Secure the towel rack and the side storage unit to the island.

Operating Instructions

Using the Drop-Leaf Extension:

To extend the countertop, gently lift the drop-leaf panel until it locks into place with the support brackets. To fold it down, release the support brackets and carefully lower the panel.

Utilizing Storage:

The island features a deep drawer for utensils and two cabinets with adjustable shelves for larger items like small appliances, pots, and pans. The side storage rack is ideal for spices or frequently used items.

Mobility and Stability:

The island is equipped with five casters for easy movement. Two of these casters have brake locks. To secure the island in place, press down on the brake levers on the two locking casters. To move, release the brakes.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish. For the wooden tabletop, use a wood-safe cleaner and wipe dry immediately.

Care:

Regularly check all screws and fittings to ensure they are tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability. Avoid placing excessively hot items directly on the tabletop without protection.

Troubleshooting

Island is Wobbly:

Ensure all assembly screws are securely tightened. Check that the casters are properly installed and locked when stationary.

Drawer or Doors Not Closing Properly:

Verify that the drawer glides are correctly aligned and free of obstructions. For doors, check hinge alignment and ensure no items inside are blocking closure.

Drop-Leaf Not Staying Up/Down:

Inspect the support brackets for any damage or misalignment. Ensure they are fully engaged when the leaf is in the desired position.
