4. Setup Instructions
4.1 Assembly
The tectake Elephant Rocking Chair requires minimal assembly. Follow these general steps:
- Carefully unpack all components from the packaging.
- Attach the wooden glides to the main body of the elephant if they are not pre-assembled. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.
- Verify that the handles are firmly in place.
4.2 Battery Installation for Sound Effect
The rocking chair's sound effect requires batteries (not included).
- Locate the battery compartment, which is typically hidden in the belly of the elephant.
- Open the compartment cover, usually secured with a fastener.
- Insert 3 x LR44 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Placing the Child
- Gently place the child into the seat of the rocking elephant.
- Ensure the child is seated comfortably against the backrest.

5.2 Securing the Safety Belt
- Fasten the safety belt around the child.
- Adjust the strap length to ensure a snug and secure fit. The belt should be tight enough to prevent the child from falling out but not so tight as to cause discomfort.
5.3 Activating the Sound Effect
- To activate the integrated sound effect, press the button located on the elephant's left ear.
- The sound will play for a short duration.
5.4 Rocking Motion
- The child can gently rock the chair by pushing off with their feet or by shifting their weight.
- Adults can also assist with gentle rocking.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Plush Cover
To clean the plush cover:
- Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Do not immerse the entire rocking chair in water.
- Allow to air dry completely before use.
6.2 Cleaning Wooden Parts
To clean the wooden glides and handles:
- Wipe with a damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Dry immediately with a clean, soft cloth.

6.3 Battery Replacement
When the sound effect becomes faint or stops working, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps in Section 4.2.
7. Troubleshooting
- Sound not working: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary. Ensure the battery compartment is securely closed.
- Rocking chair feels unstable: Verify that all assembly screws are tightened. Ensure the rocking chair is placed on a flat, even surface.
- Child slips in seat: Ensure the safety belt is properly fastened and adjusted to a snug fit.
