2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup

3. First Use (Burn-off): Before toasting food for the first time, operate the toaster without bread for a few cycles at the highest browning setting (8). This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial odors. A slight smoke or odor is normal during this process. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for general toasting and specific functions:

1. Insert Bread: Place slices of bread into the toasting slots. The wide slots accommodate various bread types and thicknesses.
2. Select Browning Level: Turn the browning control dial to your desired setting, from 1 (lightest) to 8 (darkest).
3. Start Toasting: Press the high-lift lever down until it locks into place. The toaster will begin toasting.
4. Cancel Toasting: To stop toasting at any time, press the Stop button.
5. Retrieve Toast: Once the toasting cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up. Use the high-lift lever to raise the toast further for easy and safe retrieval, especially for smaller items.

Special Functions:

• Defrost Function: Insert frozen bread, press the lever down, then press the Defrost button. The indicator light will illuminate. This function automatically adjusts the toasting time for frozen items.
