3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the RC crawler and transmitter are powered off.
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the RC crawler. The body shell can be quickly released for access.

  4. Connect the 2S 7.4V 380mAh Lithium-Ion battery to the ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) connector.
  5. Secure the battery within its compartment, ensuring wires are not pinched.
  6. For the transmitter, install the required 9V battery (included) into its designated compartment.

3.2 Charging the Battery

Use the provided charging adapter to charge the 2S 7.4V 380mAh Lithium-Ion battery. Follow the instructions provided with the charging adapter for safe and proper charging. Do not overcharge the battery.

3.3 Transmitter Binding

Your RC crawler and transmitter should be pre-bound from the factory. If re-binding is necessary, refer to the specific instructions in the separate transmitter manual or contact customer support. Generally, the process involves powering on the transmitter, then the vehicle, and pressing a bind button on both devices within a short timeframe.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Controls

  • Throttle: Use the trigger on the transmitter to control forward and reverse movement. Pull for forward, push for reverse.
  • Steering: Use the steering wheel on the transmitter to control left and right turns.

4.2 2-Speed Transmission Operation

The FCX24 TOYOTA TACOMA features a 2-speed transmission, allowing you to adapt to different driving conditions. A button on your transmitter allows you to switch between high and low gear.
