3. Setup Instructions

The BDFFLY Wireless HDMI system offers two primary connection modes:

3.1 Mode 1: Receiver Only (RX Mode)

This mode allows you to mirror your compatible smartphone or PC screen directly to a display using only the Receiver (RX) unit. The Transmitter (TX) unit is not required for this mode.

  1. Connect the Receiver (RX) unit to an HDMI input port on your TV, projector, or monitor.
  2. Connect the USB power cable to the RX unit and plug the other end into a 5V/1A power adapter or a USB port on your display that provides sufficient power.
  3. Switch your display's input source to the HDMI port where the RX unit is connected.
  4. On your smartphone or PC, enable the screen mirroring or casting function (e.g., Screen Mirroring for iOS, Smart View/Cast for Android, Connect to a wireless display for Windows).
  5. Select the RX device (typically named "UniMirrorLite-xxxxxx" or similar) from the list of available devices.
  6. Your device's screen will now be mirrored on the larger display.

3.2 Mode 2: Transmitter + Receiver (TX+RX Mode)

This mode is used for automatic pairing between the Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) units, providing a dedicated wireless link for stable transmission.

  1. Connect the Receiver (RX) unit to an HDMI input port on your TV, projector, or monitor.
  2. Connect the USB power cable to the RX unit and plug the other end into a 5V/1A power adapter or a USB port on your display that provides sufficient power.
  3. Connect the Transmitter (TX) unit to the Type-C port of your source device (e.g., laptop, smartphone with Type-C video output). The TX unit typically draws power directly from the source device.
  4. Switch your display's input source to the HDMI port where the RX unit is connected.
  5. The TX and RX units will automatically pair within a few seconds. No manual configuration is needed.
  6. Your source device's screen will now be displayed on the larger screen.
