3. Setup & Assembly

Your QNUT Victor e-bike arrives partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly and prepare for your first ride. Necessary tools are included in the package.

3.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging.
  2. Inspect for any shipping damage. Contact customer support immediately if damage is found.
  3. Remove all protective packaging materials.

3.2 Handlebar Installation

Attach the handlebar to the stem, ensuring it is centered and the brake levers and shifters are in a comfortable position. Tighten the stem bolts securely.

3.3 Pedal Installation

Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise. Apply a small amount of grease to the pedal threads before installation. Ensure they are tightened firmly.

3.4 Seat Post Adjustment

Insert the seat post into the frame. Adjust the seat height so that your leg has a slight bend at the knee when the pedal is at its lowest point. Secure the quick-release lever or bolt firmly.

3.5 Tire Inflation

Inflate both tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall. Do not over-inflate or under-inflate.

4.3 Pedal Assist Levels

Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the LCD display to adjust the pedal assist level from 1 (lowest assist) to 5 (highest assist). Higher levels provide more motor power and less effort from the rider.

4.4 Throttle Use

The e-bike is equipped with a twist throttle on the handlebar. Twist the throttle to engage the motor without pedaling. This can be used for quick acceleration or to navigate inclines with minimal effort. The throttle provides full motor power regardless of the pedal assist level selected.

4.5 Gear Shifting

The QNUT Victor features a 21-speed Shimano gear system (3 front, 7 rear). Use the shifters on the handlebar to change gears. Shift to lower gears for climbing hills and higher gears for flat terrain and speed. Shift smoothly to avoid damaging the drivetrain.

5.3 Range and Performance

The battery provides an estimated range of 20-40 miles, depending on factors such as terrain, rider weight, assist level, and weather conditions. Using higher pedal assist levels or the throttle exclusively will reduce the overall range.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your QNUT Victor e-bike.

6.1 Maintenance Schedule

6.2 Cleaning

Clean your e-bike with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components or bearings.

6.3 Tire Pressure

Maintain tire pressure within the recommended range (typically 30-50 PSI for 26" x 1.95" tires) for optimal performance and safety.

6.4 Brake Adjustment

Ensure brake levers engage smoothly and stop the bike effectively. If brakes feel spongy or too tight, they may need adjustment or pad replacement. Consult a professional if unsure.

6.5 Chain Lubrication

Regularly lubricate the chain to ensure smooth gear changes and prevent wear. Use a bicycle-specific chain lubricant.
