The SHOKZ OpenFit Pro earbuds feature an open-ear design for comfort and situational awareness, powered by Shokz SuperBoost for rich audio. They are optimized for Dolby Atmos with head tracking and include innovative Open-Ear Noise Reduction.

4. Setup

4.1 Bluetooth Connection

1. Place both earbuds into the charging case and open the lid.
2. Press and hold the button inside the charging case for 3 seconds until the LED flashes orange and green, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
4. Select "OpenFit Pro by Shokz" from the list of available devices.
5. A message will confirm successful pairing.

4.2 Wearing the Earbuds

1. Remove the earbuds from the charging case.
2. Place them over your ears, ensuring the SHOKZ logo side is facing outwards.
3. Rotate the earbuds back along your ears until they fit securely. You can shake your head slightly to check for security and adjust as needed for comfort.
4. For additional support, attach the stability accessories to the ear hooks if desired.

4.3 Head Tracking Calibration (for Dolby Atmos)

For the best spatial audio experience with Dolby Atmos, calibrate head tracking before first use:

1. Horizontal calibration: Look straight ahead for 5 seconds.
2. Vertical calibration: Look down at least 40 degrees.
3. Horizontal calibration: Look straight ahead for 3 seconds.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Music Control

• Play/Pause: Press either earbud button once.
• Skip Song: Press either earbud button twice.
• Previous Song: Press either earbud button three times.

5.2 Call Control

• Answer Incoming Call: Press either earbud button once.
• Reject Incoming Call: Press either earbud button twice.
• End Call: Press either earbud button once.

5.3 Volume Control

• Volume Down (Left Earbud): Press the left earbud button once, then long-press (1s). Continue pressing to decrease volume gradually.
• Volume Up (Right Earbud): Press the right earbud button once, then long-press (1s). Continue pressing to increase volume gradually.

5.4 Noise Reduction

To activate or deactivate noise reduction:

1. Long-press the button on either earbud. When turning on, you will hear two tones; release the button after the first tone.
2. Noise reduction requires both earbuds to be worn and is not available when using only one earbud.

Adjust noise reduction levels in the Shokz App using the slider to find the ideal setting for your surroundings.

5.5 Shokz App Features

The Shokz App allows you to customize your listening experience:

• Check battery levels for earbuds and charging case.
• Choose from various EQ modes and enable "Optimized for Dolby Atmos."
• Adjust Open-Ear Noise Reduction settings.
• Customize button functions.

6. Charging

To charge your OpenFit Pro earbuds:

1. Place the earbuds into the charging case and shut the lid. Ensure they are securely magnetically attached. The indicator light will turn on.
2. The earbuds will start charging automatically. It takes approximately 70 minutes to fully charge the earbuds in the case.
3. For wired charging of a drained charging case and earbuds, connect the USB-C cable. This takes approximately 120 minutes.
4. The OpenFit Pro charging case also supports wireless charging. For best results, use a Qi-certified wireless charger. Fully charging a drained case and earbuds wirelessly takes approximately 180 minutes.

The LED on the charging case indicates battery level: orange for low battery, green for high battery. When charging, the LED will be solid orange and turn solid green once fully charged.

7. Maintenance

Regular cleaning of your OpenFit Pro earbuds and charging case is crucial to prevent dirt or debris from affecting charging efficiency and proper function.

7.1 Cleaning the Charging Case

1. Use a pointed cotton swab with rubbing alcohol or water to clean the metal charging pins inside the case.
2. Wipe dry with a microfiber cloth to remove any excess liquid.

7.2 Cleaning the Earbuds

1. Wipe the metal contacts on the bottom of the earbuds with a microfiber cloth.
2. Ensure the earbuds are completely dry before placing them back into the charging case.
3. If the charging contacts are dirty, clean them promptly to ensure a proper connection.

*Do not bend or twist the earbuds during cleaning.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Resetting the Earbuds

If you experience connectivity issues or other malfunctions, you may need to reset your earbuds:

1. Place both earbuds into the charging case.
2. Press and hold the charging case button for 15 seconds.
3. Wait until the orange LED light flashes for 5 seconds, indicating the reset is complete.
