1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Victoper XW005 Rechargeable Headlamp. This versatile 2-in-1 device functions as both a headlamp and a detachable mini flashlight, designed for various activities such as camping, hiking, running, fishing, and repair work. It features a 230° wide beam, motion sensor, and multiple lighting modes to suit your needs.

4. Setup

4.1 Adjusting the Headband

The headlamp comes with an elastic and adjustable headband. To adjust, simply slide the buckles on either side of the strap until it fits comfortably and securely around your head.

4.2 Attaching to a Hard Hat

For use with a hard hat, utilize the 8 included clips. Securely attach the clips around the edge of your hard hat, then slide the headlamp's elastic band under the clips to hold it firmly in place.

5. Charging Instructions

The Victoper XW005 headlamp is equipped with a built-in rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery and a Type-C charging port.

  1. Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the headlamp unit.
  2. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the headlamp.
  3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  4. A charging indicator light will illuminate (typically red) during charging and change color (typically green or off) when fully charged.

Ensure the headlamp is fully charged before first use for optimal battery performance.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power ON/OFF and Mode Selection

The headlamp features a main power button and a sensor button.

  1. To Turn On/Off: Press the Power ON/OFF button (usually the larger button) once to turn on the headlamp. Press again to cycle through the main lighting modes. Hold the button down for a few seconds to turn off.
  2. Cycling Modes: Each press of the Power ON/OFF button will cycle through the 9 available modes in the following order:
  • COB White Light: Strong > Weak > Strobe
  • XPE White Light: Strong > Weak > Strobe
  • Side Light: White > UV > Emergency (Blue/Red Flashing)

6.2 Motion Sensor Function

The motion sensor allows you to turn the light on or off with a simple hand wave, providing convenience when your hands are dirty or occupied.

  1. Activate Sensor Mode: Press the Sensor button (usually smaller, with a wave icon) once. An indicator light (often blue) will show that sensor mode is active.
  2. Use Sensor: While in sensor mode, wave your hand approximately 2-4 inches in front of the headlamp's sensor to turn the light ON or OFF.
  3. Deactivate Sensor Mode: Press the Sensor button again to exit sensor mode. The indicator light will turn off.

6.3 Detachable Flashlight Use

The main light unit can be detached from the headband for use as a standalone mini flashlight.

  1. Detach: Gently pull the light unit away from the silicone headband. It is designed to snap in and out.
  2. Magnetic Base: The detached unit has a magnetic base. You can attach it to metal surfaces for hands-free illumination, such as under a car hood or on a workbench.
  3. Reattach: Align the light unit with the slot on the headband and press firmly until it clicks into place.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the headlamp body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed before cleaning or exposing to moisture.

7.2 Storage

  • Store the headlamp in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for an extended period, charge the battery every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.

7.3 Battery Care

  • Avoid completely draining the battery regularly.
  • Use only the provided Type-C cable or a certified equivalent for charging.
