Important Compatibility Notes
- Only use the included USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gbps) cables. Do not substitute with other USB-C cables, as this may affect performance or compatibility.
- The USB-C port on your computer must support USB-C Alt DP (Alternate Display Port Mode) for video output.
- Ensure your computer has at least one USB Type-C port that supports data, video, and Power Delivery (PD) before purchasing.
- Avoid using USB-C docking stations with integrated pigtail cables to prevent compatibility issues.
- This switch is not applicable for MacBook Pro models that do not support the required USB-C Alt DP features.
- Adapters to convert HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, or DVI to USB-C are not currently available for use with this switch.
Connection Steps
- Connect Laptops to Switch: Use the provided USB 3.2 Gen2 x 2 cables to connect the USB-C ports of your two laptops (PC1 and PC2) to the corresponding PC1 and PC2 input ports on the MLEEDA USB C Switch.
- Connect Monitor/Docking Station: Connect your USB-C monitor or USB-C docking station to the 'Monitor' output port on the switch. If using a docking station, connect your HDMI/DP monitors and USB peripherals (keyboard, mouse) to the docking station.
- Connect Power: Use the included USB power cable to connect the 'DC 5V' port on the switch to a 5V USB power source (e.g., a USB wall adapter, not included). This is essential for the switch to function correctly.
- Connect Wired Remote (Optional): Plug the wired remote controller into its dedicated port on the switch for convenient desktop switching.
