1. Introduction

The M2 Electric Wheelchair is designed for adults, featuring dual brakes, all-terrain capabilities with large front wheels, a wide seat, and compatibility with a wheelchair lift for enhanced mobility.

2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Always adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Electromagnetic Brake System: The wheelchair is equipped with an electromagnetic brake system that automatically engages when the joystick is released, preventing unintended movement.
  • Manual Brake Levers: Two manual brake levers are provided, one on each side, for additional control and safety, especially on slopes.
  • Stability: The wheelchair is designed for stability. Avoid leaning excessively forward or standing on the footrests, as this may cause tipping.
  • Weather Conditions: Do not use the wheelchair in the rain or wet conditions to prevent damage to electrical components.
  • Obstacles: The 16-inch front drive wheels are designed to cross obstacles up to approximately 3 inches. Exercise caution when encountering larger obstacles.
  • Seat Belt: Always use the adjustable safety buckle (seat belt) for secure seating during operation.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your wheelchair for first use:

  1. Unfolding the Wheelchair: Carefully unfold the wheelchair frame until it locks into place. Ensure all locking mechanisms are secure.
  2. Installing the Seat and Backrest: Place the seat cushion and backrest onto the frame. The removable seat is covered with a soft, breathable material.
  3. Attaching the Joystick Controller: Mount the joystick controller to either the left or right armrest, depending on user preference. Secure it firmly.
  4. Installing Footrests: Attach the footrests to the front of the wheelchair. Ensure they are securely fastened and can be rotated for comfort.
  5. Connecting the Battery: Insert the detachable lithium battery into its compartment and connect the battery cables.

5. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the controls and operating modes:

  1. Power ON/OFF: Press the power button on the joystick controller to turn the wheelchair on or off.
  2. Speed Adjustment: Use the speed indicator buttons (+/-) on the controller to adjust the wheelchair's speed.
  3. Joystick Control: The joystick allows for forward, reverse, left, and right movement. Gentle movements are recommended for smooth operation.
  4. Horn: Press the horn button on the controller to alert others.
  5. Switching Modes (Manual/Electric): The wheelchair can be switched between manual and electric modes. Pull the red buckle on the wheel to disengage the motor for manual pushing, and push it back in for electric mode.
  6. Parking: To park, release the joystick to engage the electromagnetic brakes. For additional security, especially on inclines, engage the manual brake levers located on each side.

6. Battery and Charging

The M2 Electric Wheelchair is powered by a 24V12AH detachable lithium battery, offering a drive distance of at least 20 miles on a full charge. Charging time is typically 6-8 hours.

  1. Direct Charging: The battery can be charged directly while installed in the wheelchair via the controller's charging port.
  2. Removed Battery Charging: For convenience, the battery can be easily removed and charged separately.
  3. Airline Travel: The lightweight and detachable battery is suitable for airline travel, high-speed train, and cruise ship transport.

7. Folding and Transport

The M2 Electric Wheelchair features a fast-folding design for easy storage and transport.

  1. Folding: Follow the instructions to fold the wheelchair. The process is designed to be quick and simple, taking approximately 3 seconds.
  2. Transport: Once folded, the compact size allows for easy placement in a car trunk or other storage spaces.

Optional Wheelchair Lift

The Mujocooker M2 Electric Wheelchair is compatible with a wheelchair lift for convenient loading into vehicles. An electric scissor lift table is available separately to assist with lifting your mobility device.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your wheelchair:

  • Cleaning: The removable seat cover is made of a soft, breathable material that is easy to clean. Wipe down the frame with a damp cloth as needed.
  • Tires: The 16-inch front and 10-inch rear tires are air-filled for comfort but are designed to be durable and resistant to flats. Regularly check tire pressure and for any signs of wear.
  • General Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, connections, and moving parts for tightness and proper function.

9. Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues:

  • Backup Alarm: If the backup alarm is active and you wish to turn it off, contact customer support for specific instructions.
  • Battery Cage Damage: In case of damage to the battery cage during shipping or use, it may be possible to straighten bent metal components. If unsure, contact customer support.
  • Tipping on Ramps: While the wheelchair is stable, exercise caution when descending ramps. Ensure your footplates are properly positioned to prevent tipping forward.
