Operating Instructions
1. Powering On and Heating
- Plug the steamer into a 110V-120V electrical outlet.
- Turn on the power switch. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow approximately 15 seconds for the steamer to heat up. The indicator light may change or stop blinking when ready.
2. Selecting Operating Mode
The Y518 offers two primary modes:
- Combined Steam and Suction Mode: Activate the suction function for sturdy fabrics like shirts, suits, and jeans. This mode allows the steamer to adhere to the fabric for easier, one-handed operation and efficient wrinkle removal.
- Individual Heating Mode: Turn off the suction function to use the steamer like a traditional steam iron. This is ideal for delicate fabrics such as silk and rayon, especially when used on an ironing board.

3. Steaming Garments
Hold the steamer upright or horizontally, depending on the garment and desired method. Press the steam-lock button to release continuous steam.
- Vertical Steaming: Hang the garment using the provided hooks or a hanger. Move the steamer slowly over the fabric, allowing the steam to penetrate and relax wrinkles. The vacuum adsorption helps keep the fabric taut.
- Horizontal Ironing: For a more traditional ironing experience, place the garment on a heat-resistant surface or ironing board. Glide the ceramic heat panel over the fabric while releasing steam.

- Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

- Plug in the steamer and allow it to heat up.
- Run the steamer until the tank is empty, directing steam into a sink or basin.
- Repeat the process with clean distilled water to rinse out any vinegar residue.
3. Filter Replacement
The steamer includes two replacement filter screens. Replace the filter when you notice reduced steam output or increased mineral residue.
- Ensure the steamer is unplugged and cool.
- Locate the filter compartment, usually on the top or side of the unit.
- Remove the old filter and insert a new one, ensuring it is properly seated.
