1. Product Overview
The Hauslane UC-B018 is a 30-inch under cabinet range hood designed to maintain a clean and fresh kitchen environment. This unit effectively removes cooking odors, fumes, and chemicals. It features a versatile 3-way ventilation system, energy-saving LED lighting, and a sleek stainless steel design that complements various kitchen styles. The hood can be configured for both ducted and ductless (recirculating) operation.

2. Safety Information
Before installation or use, read all instructions thoroughly. Ensure the unit is properly grounded. Disconnect power before servicing or cleaning. Do not use for general ventilating purposes only. Observe all local codes and ordinances. Always use safety glasses during installation. In case of a grease fire, turn off the hood and stove, then use a Class ABC extinguisher. Never pick up a flaming pan. Do not use water on grease fires. If the hood is damaged, contact customer support before attempting to install or operate.

4. Installation
The UC-B018 range hood offers a versatile 3-way ventilation system, allowing for vertical 6-inch round, vertical 3-1/4 x 10 rectangular, or horizontal 3-1/4 x 10 rectangular venting. This flexibility eliminates the need for new ductwork in many installations. The unit can also be easily converted to a ductless range hood by installing optional charcoal filters (sold separately).

5. Operation
The range hood features an LED-lit control panel for easy operation. It includes multiple fan speed settings to adjust ventilation power based on your cooking needs. The bright white LED lights illuminate your cooking area, enhancing visibility.

- Fan Control: Select from multiple fan speeds to effectively remove smoke, odors, and steam.
- Light Control: Toggle the bright white LED lights to illuminate your cooktop.
6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning of the baffle filters is essential for maintaining optimal performance. The hybrid filters feature aluminum layers designed to trap grease particles effectively.
- Baffle Filters: The included baffle filters are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. Simply remove them and place them in your dishwasher.
- Ductless Operation: If operating in ductless mode, charcoal filters (sold separately) are required to trap grease particles and fumes. These filters should be replaced periodically as per the charcoal filter instructions.
