1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all instructions before using this heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handles when moving this heater.
  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater, or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your AKIRES space heater:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for off-season storage.
  2. Wheel Installation: The heater comes with pre-installed caster wheels for easy mobility. Ensure they are securely attached before moving the unit.
  3. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 m) of clear space around the heater from walls, furniture, and other combustible materials. Do not place the heater directly below a power outlet.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the heater directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz grounded wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
  5. Humidifier Water Tank (Optional): If you wish to use the humidification feature, open the small compartment on the side of the heater and fill the removable water tank with clean water. Close the compartment securely.

4. Operating Instructions

Your AKIRES space heater can be operated using the touch control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

4.1 Control Panel & Remote

4.2 Power On/Off

  • Press the Power button (Power icon) on the control panel or remote to turn the heater ON or OFF.

4.3 Heat Settings

The heater offers two heat settings and an ECO mode:

  • Low Heat (750W): Press the Mode button (Mode icon) until the indicator for 750W is lit.
  • High Heat (1500W): Press the Mode button until the indicator for 1500W is lit.
  • ECO Mode: This intelligent mode automatically adjusts the heating power (750W or 1500W) to maintain your set temperature, optimizing energy consumption.

4.4 Temperature Control

  • Use the Up (+) and Down (-) buttons on the control panel or remote to set your desired temperature between 41°F and 95°F (5°C and 35°C) in 1°F increments.
  • The heater will automatically turn on or off to maintain the set temperature.

4.5 Timer Function

  • Press the Timer button (Timer icon) to set the auto-off timer from 1 to 24 hours.
  • Each press increases the timer by 1 hour. The display will show the set time, then revert to the current temperature.

4.6 Humidifier Function

  • If the water tank is filled, the heater will naturally release moisture into the air, preventing dryness often associated with heating.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your heater.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Dust Removal: Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust from the air intake and exhaust grilles.
  • Water Tank: Regularly clean the humidifier water tank to prevent mineral buildup and ensure fresh moisture output.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
