5.1 Heater Placement

  • Place the heater on a firm, level, non-combustible surface in an outdoor or well-ventilated area.
  • Ensure adequate clearance from combustible materials. Recommended minimum clearances: 36 inches (91 cm) from the top, 12 inches (30 cm) from the sides, and 12 inches (30 cm) from the rear.
  • Do not block the air intake or exhaust vents.

5.2 Connecting the Propane Tank

  1. Ensure the heater's control knob is in the "OFF" position.
  2. Place the 20lb propane cylinder into the designated compartment within the heater.
  3. Connect the heater's regulator hose to the propane cylinder valve. Hand-tighten firmly. Do not use tools to overtighten.
  4. Open the propane cylinder valve slowly, checking for leaks.
  5. Leak Test: Apply a soapy water solution to all connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Immediately close the propane cylinder valve, tighten the connection, and re-test. Do not operate the heater if a leak is detected.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Ignition

  1. Ensure the propane cylinder valve is fully open.
  2. Press and hold the control knob down, then rotate it to the desired heat setting (LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH).
  3. While holding the knob down, press the igniter button repeatedly until the pilot flame ignites. You should hear a clicking sound.
  4. Continue to hold the control knob down for 10-15 seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up and engage the safety valve.
