This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, assembly, and maintenance of your Heybike Mars 2.0 Electric Bike. Please read it thoroughly before your first ride and keep it for future reference.

Setup and Assembly
Your Heybike Mars 2.0 Electric Bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly process. For a visual guide, refer to the installation video below.

Unboxing and Component Identification
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present.
Front Wheel Assembly
- Remove the protective plastic tab from the disc brake caliper.
- Carefully align the front wheel with the fork, ensuring the disc brake rotor slides into the caliper.
- Insert the quick-release skewer through the hub and secure it with the nuts, ensuring the safety washers are correctly positioned. Tighten securely.
Handlebar and Stem Assembly
- Unfold the stem and secure it in the upright position using the quick-release lever.
- Adjust the handlebar angle and height to your preference, then tighten the stem bolts using an Allen wrench.
Front Fender and Headlight Installation
- Attach the front fender to the fork using the provided screws and Allen wrench.
- Mount the headlight to the designated bracket on the front fork and secure it with the appropriate tools.
Rear Rack and Taillight Assembly
- Attach the rear cargo rack to the frame using the provided bolts and Allen wrench.
- Install the taillight onto the rear rack, ensuring it is securely fastened.
- For safe riding, secure the taillight cable to the seat stay with nylon cable ties.
Battery and Seat Installation
- Insert the battery into its compartment on the frame. Ensure it clicks securely into place and lock it with the key.
- Insert the seat post into the frame. Adjust the seat height to your comfort, ensuring the minimum insertion mark is not exceeded. Secure with the quick-release lever.
Pedal Installation
- Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals.
- Thread the pedals into the crank arms. The right pedal tightens clockwise, and the left pedal tightens counter-clockwise. Use a wrench to secure them firmly.
Operating Your Heybike Mars 2.0
Powering On and Display
To power on the bike, ensure the battery switch is in the 'on' position. Then, press and hold the power button on the handlebar display for 3 seconds. The display will show your speed, pedal assist level (PAS), trip distance, odometer, max speed, and average speed.

Riding Modes
The Heybike Mars 2.0 offers three riding modes:
- Pedal-Assist Mode: Provides motor assistance as you pedal. Adjust assist levels using the '+' and '-' buttons on the handlebar control. Max speed 28 MPH.
- Throttle Mode: Engage the throttle lever for motor power without pedaling. Max speed 28 MPH.
- Walking Mode: Provides low-speed assistance for pushing the bike.

Gears and Shifting
The bike is equipped with a 7-speed Shimano derailleur. Use the thumb shifter on the handlebar to change gears, allowing you to adapt to different terrains and riding conditions.

Lights and Horn
Activate the headlight and taillight using the dedicated button on the handlebar control. The bike also features a loud horn for safety.

Folding Mechanism
The Heybike Mars 2.0 features a convenient folding design. To fold the bike, release the quick-release lever on the stem to fold the handlebars down. Then, release the main frame hinge lever to fold the bike in half. The pedals can also be folded for compact storage.

Battery and Charging
The bike is equipped with a 624Wh removable lithium-ion battery, providing a range of up to 50 miles. The battery can be charged while installed on the bike or removed for charging indoors.

Charging Instructions
- Ensure the bike is powered off before charging.
- Locate the charging port on the battery.
- Connect the charger to the battery, then plug the charger into a power outlet.
- The indicator light on the charger will show charging status.
- Once fully charged (approximately 4 hours), disconnect the charger.
The battery also features a USB charging port for external devices.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your Heybike Mars 2.0.
- Tire Pressure: Regularly check and maintain the recommended tire pressure for optimal performance and safety. The 20x4-inch fat tires are puncture-resistant.
- Brakes: Inspect disc brakes for wear and proper function. Adjust as needed.
- Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated for smooth gear shifting.
- Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and fasteners for tightness.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place and charge it regularly, even if not in use, to prolong its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Heybike Mars 2.0, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Bike not powering on: Ensure the battery is fully charged, correctly installed, and the battery's power switch is in the 'on' position. Check the display's power button.
- Motor not assisting: Verify the pedal-assist level on the display. Check if the throttle is engaged. Ensure brake levers are not partially squeezed, which can cut motor power.
- Brakes feel weak: Inspect brake pads for wear. Adjust brake cable tension or disc caliper alignment.
- Unusual noises: Check for loose components, rubbing parts (e.g., fenders, brake rotors), or chain issues.
